I wonder what Eddy Curry is thinking right now? The Knicks better keep close tabs on him.

I'm stunned. A heart attack at 28? This was like a bolt out of the blue.

I got such a disgusting feeling in the pit of my stomach after seeing that just now on nba.com. Jason Collier? So sudden, out-of-the-blue. I keep having flashes to when he played for us. The most emeorable time being when he went up against Shaq in LA and did a damn good job on him. And then I remember Stevie bearhugging him. Aw, this is a sad day indeed.

wow, that sucks. couldn't believe it when i logged on and saw that at the top of the page. RIP.

and this reminds me of the antonio davis thread in the Dish about antonio just toughing it out in new york for 9 months and then being with his family. this is why you don't, b/c you never know when it'll be your time. such a shame at only 28.

Jason's death probably have something to do with playing basketball. They said he has no heart problems before and just got a physical before the preseason. The cause of his death is unknown.

Sad news, a guy so young a physically fit athlete too.

Just when he started on the path to being a good nba player, he leaves to walk down another one.

    RIP

Reading the preseason headlines, it's always fun to keep tabs on former Rockets players. Seeing Jason Collier's name pasted in a link I thought, "Hey! Good for you!" I was shocked and dismayed to discover the truth of the matter.

I will always hold a place in my heart for current and former Houston athletes. No matter how small their contribution, they always crack this sports nut.

May Jason Collier rest in peace, and may his family find solace in his memory. :(
