You know, I loved Matt Bullard playing. He was great, his quotes were always funny...but...he just doesn't work with Worrell. Maybe it's the white/white combo. We are so used to Worrell playing off Calvin's flamboyance, it just seems to dull too have these two bouncing puns off each other and chuckling at their cleverness. I miss Calvin.
I've listened to Drexler for about 5 minutes and already officially think he stinks. Brings nothing insightful to the table, just basically repeats whatever Worrell says. He is the male version of Cynthia Cooper.
I Hate Matt Bullard! He ruined my birthday with his game 2 fourth quarter choke job of the 1994 finals. Bring back Calvin!
I feel totally different about him. The most important thing, he allows you to watch the basketbal game without becoming a distraction. He doesn't overspeak. He's not looking for laughs. He's not trying to get attention. He's a professional. A serious man for whats going to be a serious season. The days of Calvin and the circus ballers are long gone. Better get use to it.
They're a very monotone duo. Reminds me of that SNL skit where Will Ferrell plays a guy with voice immodulation syndrome. "I can neither control the volume or inflection of my voice...." At least Van Chancellor got excited once in a while and his southern drawl was a refreshing change for a Northerner like me.
My God! Drexler and Bullard are ruining the games for me. Just terrible commentators! I guess it will be Geno the rest of the season for me...
It's all a big conspiracy to get us to go to all the home games. I think Clyde is gonna get the contract for the voice over of Fat Albert in the next movie remake.
