are we gonna have an official game thread for tonights game? it's on NBA TV and (i think) on local TV in houston as well. there should be enough people watching the game to make a nice discussion tonight.
Who do ya'll think will be in tonights starting lineup? I personally think it will look like this: PG: Alston SG: Wesley SF: McGrady PF: Swift C: Yao Although when the regular season begins I want the lineup to look like: PG: Alston SG: Anderson SF: McGrady PF: Swift C: Yao That size at SG will help us a great deal on defense.
Who agrees with me that Swift vs Howard is the thing to look forward too? Swift has only been practicing a few times, while Howard has been with us for a year. If Swift starts over Howard, that would definitely be an indication of what JVG's mentality is regarding the starting PF position. If Howard starts, that doesn't tell us anything
I would start Swift and play him a lot. Nothing to do with establishing a ranking, everything to do with having Swift learn to play Van Gundy ball.
On the rockets.com preview David Wesley and Juwan Howard were mentioned first at their respective positions if memory serves correctly. I'd be willing ot bet that they start for the preseason games. At least the first couple.
