If you're ever having a tattoo done, and any of the work will be on your ribs, it will ******* mother ****ing ***** ******* hurt.

But you'll quickly learn that. Hell, it even stands to reason.

One thing you might think about is taking some sort of drug to assist you through this time... fine. Just make sure it's a ******* ******* mother ****ing pain reliever, and not a ******* ******* ***** muscle relaxer, because it will still hurt if you just use a ******* ******* ***** muscle relaxer. In fact, ******* ******* ***** muscle relaxers just make you not be able to flex or squirm (helpful to the artist, not to you), they do nothing for the pain.

This has been a tattoo tip by Achebe.

LOL outlaw. I have Stockton on my left hand side throwing out a dish to Malone on the right. I'm thinking about tattooing the face of a fat Jazz fan sticking his head out of my ass saying "git it tag, git it!".

Actually, I have an octopus whose head is on my right hand shoulder, w/ his four arms on each side of my body. The artist is awesome, but I think that he tries to hurt me on purpose. [IMG]

He started doing the work (just an outline) way back before I started commuting to Atlanta. Now, he's just making the outlines alot thicker and better flowing. Hopefully now I can get it finished (to shade or not to shade?)

Oddly enough Achebe, the least painful place I got one was actually underneath my arm, on the other side of the bicep! I thought it would ****** ******* hurt but it it didn't hurt fer ****. You're right about the pain killers too though. ALSO, don't drink beer or go drunk because that'll wear off then you'll be in a heep of trouble cuz alcohol isn't aloud in tattoos parlors!
Oh yeah, might as well through this Japanese tattoos link in asl well...

LOL The Freak... you know I'm saving my cheeks for the two devils shoveling coal into my ass and the flames shooting up my back.

gr8-1... anywhere where there's meat, you should be fine. The head hugs my right hand shoulder and that part was fine. I only had real difficulty on my ribs and kinda on my upper abs. Oh yeah, do you know where your lymph node is up under your arm (I think that's where it is)... that part was ultra sensitive too.

I heard that too mr_oily, a friend of mine got some stuff done on the inside of his arms and he mentioned that it was one of his easiest tattoos. I haven't gotten quite bold enough though to have anything done that could be seen at work (if your shirt didn't cover it up).

fadeaway, I've got some photos but my machines that I can post it to are down for a while. I have to get those things running for a different reason (trying to get some software running and convert it to jsp for heypartner's new machine project) in the next few days, so I'll try to show it then.

I got one on my upper arm and it didn't hurt at all. I think that's the one area where it doesn't hurt. I have heard HORROR stories about shoulders, legs etc..

all this talk about abs, biceps, cheeks and meat is getting me all hot & bothered!

it's been overdone but i like Tom Gugliotta's barbed-wire-around-the-arm tattoo.

I want one on my shoulder/deltoid. How painful is that area ? My friend says it feels like having a sunburn and somebody constantly slapping you on the burnt area. My brother says the aftermath is more painful.

Are there any risks or dangers to getting a tattoo? I am thinking about getting something done on my right arm. A dragon or something perhaps ?

??? So was it just too mother****ing painful to get all 8 arms of that octopus? Or are you going back for the rest later?

hey Sammie... I actually mistyped. He has four arms on each side... four in front and four in back.

To further answer your question, I originally had the entire octopus done just as a tiny outline and now the artist has redone everything w/ a much thicker line except for 2.5 of the arms. Unfortunately, one of those arms comes down beneath my right arm and coils its tentacles... on my ribs. That should be a fun day.
