well apparently casserley will be named the GM of the Houston outlaws (wink). What do y'all think ? i kinda think donahoe has been as good if not better then casserley. He lost alot of freee agents in pittsburgh, but always manages to find someone to plug the holes. And of course, charley pulled off "herschel walker 2", traded sean gilbert for a #1, and also brought in brad johnson. Being a die hard Skins fan, I can tell you a little about Casserly. Any team would be lucky to have him. He unfairly was fired, when Norv cried his way into Dan Snyders favor. Some of his final moves last year included: The skins wanted Champ Bailey all along. Had the 5th pick. Traded their number 5 for New orleans 1st rounder, which he traded up to get Champ anyhow, and all their other picks in 99. Plus their 1st rounder (number 2 pic-Hello Lavarr Arrington, or Peter Warrick) and their 2nd and 3rd round picks this year. He got guff for trading 3 draft picks for Brad Johnson. Now everyone thinks it was a masterful trade which brought the skins back into the playoffs. People think he was responsible for drafting such super high busts as Heath Shuler, and Desmond Howard. But he had no say in those picks. Norv and he had a system in which, Norv pick their 1st and 2nd rounders, and gave the rest of the rounds say to Charley. Meaning Casserly was responsible for cutting their all time single season rusher in Terry Allen, and drafting a no name like Stephen Davis in the 4th round, basically trusting him to get the job done. He signed free agents last year at an amazingly frugal clip. He signed Larry Centers to a measly million dollar contract. He ended up leading the team in catches, and caught the pass the clinched a division title He signed Sam Shade to a 3 year deal. Sam lead the team in tackles, and was an absolute force against the run. It was a great dishonor, that he didn't make the probowl. He signed Marco Coleman to a measly million dollar contract. After he was seeking around 3 million, and will probably recieve that much after his superior season he had this year. Casserly, became Dan Snyders goat after Norv Turner made up speculation that he and Casserly didn't get along. That was new news to every who knew anything about the skins. It would of been like Rudy T saying how he and Barkley didn't get along, basically to save his job. Anyways. Houston will be in good hands with Casserly. He has a great reputation around the league from those who know what he has actually done in football.

Dont know too much about Donahoe. But your getting a quality guy, who knows football in Casserly. Loyalty is what Casserly is all about. He spent a few decades with the Skins, started out as an errand boy, and knew his job was in jeopardy at the beginning of the season, and still went out and made all the right moves this offseason. Total class. And oh, BTW...Casserly also got 2 number one draft picks for Gilbert. [This message has been edited by Dreamshake (edited January 19, 2000).]
