After reading the article, i really expect james is a nice guy, and got more deeper understanding of NBA is a business. Anyway, all the best with james. GOOD LUCK MAN!!!
Wow, if getting Mike James for Alston is the best move ever by the Raptors GM, how good does that make CD look? We got James for freakin Reece Gaines and useless draft picks. The Raptors got him for a starting PG. Not to mention some of the other moves CD has made...Swift, DA, T-Mac... We really do have a great organization. We are light years ahead of teams like Toronto and Orlando. The Toronto press can bash Alston all they want, but I have a feeling they won't be enjoying it when they're sitting at home and Alston is helping us win playoff games.
Canadians use British-English (ie the mother language) whereas we have adopted it to our liking (including a touch of an ebonics flare) . .
"Mike James thinks he can be a starter here in Toronto." Anyone catch this quote (just below the pic of MJ). It appears a bit degrading. I didn't think they had anyone else in Toronto anymore? . . .
Mike James sounds like a good guy. His quotes did not show any animosity towards the rockets even though, I am sure, he feels dissapointed. He handled the situation very professionaly. He might have had some flaws but he played very hard for us while he was here. Thanks Mike and good luck in Toronto. You are more than welcome to sign up with Houston a the end of the season after opting out from Toronto.
I really like MJ... but these things happen and when opportunity knocks you have to answer. Good luck MJ!
"I concur" - Dr. Richard Robert Richardson III Yeah - too bad about Mike James. It happens. He showed he has heart, skill, class, and team spirit. Good combo for this sport. Hope the trade works for both teams. It happens. I must say the move of Alston for our team could end up being more important than the other two - Swift and Anderson. One can hope and dream real big, like in huge. It happens.
I definitely want to wish Mike James good luck with next season with the Raptors, and better luck with the conversion of Texas-to-Toronto. One thing I have noticed about most players, who leave this franchise, is that they are never leaving with negative feelings, typically its "I really enjoyed playing in Houston, I loved the fans, and wish the team the best of luck" . Never like "Im just happy to be out Houston" Like when some people leave their former teams. Guess thats props to management.
Well, except for that rotting scum sucking piece of fly infested dog turd Scottie Pippen...and I say that with the greatest of respect.
Damn, you said exactly what I wanted to say. And I find it hilarious that "the trade is already being heralded as the best move of GM Rob Babcock's tenure in Toronto." That really says a lot about the other moves Babcock has done. LOL.
