I like Ward coaching. Hopefully he'll be able to improve our pass protection and help Carr with the 3-step drop.

Fine let him coach - great.

    Question-

Is there a limit to the number of assistant coaches a team carries with them??

I always liked Ward. The guy always came in and helped enforce. He truly was a machiavellian on the court. He truly did whatever was needed for the Knicks. If Charlie Ward can help our pg's such as raefer become the type of player he was during his prime I would definitely be happy. RAlston is definitely an exitement player. Hopefully some of Ward's toughness will rub off on him.

not really relevant but, my lasting impression of charlie ward is when he got body-slammed by p.j. brown in one of the knicks-heat playoff series. I believe the ensuing brawl caused ewing and others to leave the bench and be suspended for the next 2 games. The heat went on to be smacked by the bulls in 5 games.

Does this mean no Jews allowed on the roster now?

they just don't hand out coaching jobs anymore, ask Vin baker. Ward fits well with JVG because he knows his system, and knows what JVG wants from the guards. he earned it from what I can see.

Yes. Think of all the Jewish basketball stars we'll have to pass on now.

That frees up a lot of cap space along with the contract buyout for Vin Baker... (maybe this was mentioned in another thread?) now the Rockets can make some additions to the roster if injuries persist as the season goes along...

^ Their full salary counts against the cap. The buyout just means that you pay them a little less and in return they don't have to show up for practice, games, etc.

Well actually the buyout counts for however much they negotiate the buyout for. So if they buyout Baker for $3 million, then that's how much it counts. This still doesn't translate into "cap space" since he was expiring after this season anyway, but perhaps this gets them under the Luxury Tax threshold for this year.

Are a lot of people in the Texans forum saying that the team need a new quarterback?

I think the main benefit of the buyout is his roster spot. The savings on his salary and it's implications with the cap aren't that much.

the funny thing was he was sticking up for jews (the dudes with the jews for jesus signs) who he viewed as being persecuted by the wider jewish community but it came out all wrong or was misunderstood?

You guys need to get over this Knick hate obssesion. We were enemies with them for a very brief period nearly a decade ago.

Now if it were Pippen, Karla or Stockton on the other hand ...
