Best Album Bridge of Signs by Robin Trower Worst Album Earth Tones: The Essential Rare Earth ------------------ I am an invisible man.
Best (although I don't know if it's possible to choose just one) Sublime - 40 oz to Freedom RIP Brad Nowell Worst Wilson Phillips I've said too much... ------------------ Sell crazy someplace else. We're all stocked up here... [This message has been edited by Band Geek Mobster (edited May 28, 2001).]
Best: Dave Matthews Band - "The Lillywhite Sessions" Worst: The Jim Rome CD . . . that was a TOTAL waste of money . . . ------------------ blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
Hey--go to hell, man. I love the Jim Rome CD...the last little interview with Don King cracks me up every time... Best--Tupac-All Eyez on Me Worst--Britney Spears' first album (what have I DONE??? ) ------------------ Jazzkiller
BGM, LOL ... I used to be the proud owner of that wilson phillips album myself. Thankfully the used cd stores by that crap! ------------------ I am an invisible man.
One of my top few would definitely be Emylou Harris' Wrecking Ball. It ain't country and it is absolutely awesome! Probably the worst is the self-titled, Neurotic Outsiders. Steve Jones and John Taylor put out an album of pure crap. ------------------
Best: Led Zeppelin 4 Worst: Vanilla Ice: To the Extreme or Saturday Night Fever: The Original Movie Soundtrack (2 CDs) ------------------ All hail Fadeaway's Cyberfish -- your 2000-2001 BobFinn* Fantasy Basketball League Champions!
hey, I don't know if I'd be touting my CD choosing taste if I even OWNED a Britney Spears CD FWIW, the Rome CD isn't THAT bad, it's just not worth $15 . . . it's worth around $5. I enjoy his program, but the CD was mostly a 1 or 2 time listen . . . the Don King remix was good, but that was really the only great one -- some of the others were okay. Really, I don't have many bad CDs, but this is probably the lowest of them. ------------------ blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
current fav: Radiohead - the bends current worst: Godsmack - whatever the name of their 1st popular ablum is. ahh, I guess your worst album gets a little better when your collection of cds is stolen. ------------------ snap crackle pop
I lost mine and I've been searching pawn shops and can't find it. I really want that Vanilla Ice cd though, I still think that cd is cool. ------------------ Sell crazy someplace else. We're all stocked up here... [This message has been edited by Band Geek Mobster (edited May 28, 2001).]
New Fav...thanks to the incomparable music critic...jamcracker Groove Collective "Up All Night" before that...Michael Franti and Spearhead "Home".... both are must...must...must buys for anyone interested in Funk, Acid Jazz.... or ... or....name that genre...if the labels can't. worst album is "memento"... uh...I forgot! can I listen to my music now!!
Remember when Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer were both on the go and had a little rivalry going between them? It even spilled over in my junior high school; you were either a Vanilla Ice fan or an MC Hammer fan. Looking back, it was hilarious. Kid 1: "Did you see the way Vanilla Ice sneered at Hammer during that award show?" Kid 2: "Yeah! Who does he think he is anyway??" Kid 3: "He was right to sneer.. Hammer sucks!" Kids 1 & 2: "No way man! U Can't Touch This is awesome!!" Those were the days. ------------------ All hail Fadeaway's Cyberfish -- your 2000-2001 BobFinn* Fantasy Basketball League Champions!
Also, remember Hammer's balloon pants? And the way Vanilla Ice shaved his eyebrows and sideburns with those little streaks?!! Like half of my grade five class rushed out and copied him when he first started doing that. (*laugh*) I still know all the words to "Ice Ice Baby." I don't know whether to be ashamed of that or not... ------------------ All hail Fadeaway's Cyberfish -- your 2000-2001 BobFinn* Fantasy Basketball League Champions!
My 4th grade teacher got to go to a Vanilla Ice concert once. I remember back when we'd be sitting out in the hall after a bathroom break or lunch we'd recite "Ice Ice Baby". The badasses could rap the song while making the noises in the background. I also thought it was awesome when Vanilla Ice made a cameo in one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies...ninja, ninja, rap, go ninja go ninja go, go ninja go ninja go, go, go, go, go, ninja, ninja, rap, ninja, ninja, rap that song was awesome ------------------ Sell crazy someplace else. We're all stocked up here... [This message has been edited by Band Geek Mobster (edited May 28, 2001).]
Vengeance-- Yeah, man, you're right. For your info, though, I didn't BUY that, I was given it as a gag gift...but I know, I know, it doesn't make it right. It's not the Don King remix I like, it's the interview at the very END of the CD, like 7 minutes into the last track (the first 7 minutes are like the most stupid thing ever put on a CD) but it's worth it for that interview. ------------------ Jazzkiller
Best: Tough call, but I have to go with Led Zeppelin 3 Worst: Collective Soul - Hints, Allegations, and Things left Unsaid I remember when Collective Soul first came onto the scene, and you couldn't listen to the radio for half an hour without hearing "Shine." I really dug the song, and decided to buy the album, especially since I was going to see them open for Aerosmith... most of the rest of the album is total crap, and I am very tired of "Shine" by now. ------------------ Headley: Qualifications? Cowboy: Rape, murder, arson and rape. Headley: You said rape twice. Cowboy: I like rape.
You kick all ass, BGM! I know all the words to that song! Heros in a half shell They're on a mission When they're on the case That got the enemy wishin' That they'd stayed at home Instead of fightin' These ninja masters With moves like lightnin' Also, does everyone remember around this same time the New Kids on the Block craze? Every girl in my Junior high swooned over these goons, and every self-respecting guy hated their guts just for that reason. I hated those damn pins that all the girls wore, the ones that had a band member on it. ------------------ Headley: Qualifications? Cowboy: Rape, murder, arson and rape. Headley: You said rape twice. Cowboy: I like rape.
Best: Survivor -- Greatest Hits Worst: Chipmunks -- Greatest Hits (It's big with 3 y/o kids of friends/relatives, but gives me a headache.) ------------------ Stay Cool...
