    Excellent read, explains American foreign policy, IMO, better than any other book out there. The author of the book recounts some of his experiences and the 'central theme', if you will, behind our foreign policy.

    I Strongly recommend it...

    I agree a good book. I especially thought it was instructive the way the American government will try to get poor third world governments to borrow more money than they can ever hope to pay back. This is done to get them by the balls and then use this leverage for such things as UN votes and business concessions etc.

    The writer's role as a generator of false business prospect reports to convince the the countries that they really could make enough off of say a billion dollar dam project to repay was interesting.
