I had no problem with the original post in this thread and actually found it kind of amusing and dismissed it as innocent tongue in cheek ignorance. As I said before, I honestly don't think that people should come down this hard on reggietodd, I even commended him on being 'honest' with himself as he subconsciously profiled the women standing in line in front of him at the CVS pharmacy, which is something whether most of us admit it or not we do EVERY SINGLE DAY in our lives. We profile on regular basis in our daily lives, we are programmed to be that way, and it will take nothing less than an overhaul of our entire culture/society to erase that aspect of our culture. It just is, and it's reflected in every aspect of our lives.
Two musical acts much beloved by young hipsters, if I may be stereotypical. MIA is a "socially conscious" female artist, whatever that means. I'm sure it must have been horrible, but it actually sounds a bit funny in writing. Most citizens, let alone "punks", couldn't recite the lines to the anthem if they had a gun to their head. That's one thing I always preach: If you are going to be a racist or a 'hater' of a particular race/ethnic/religious group, I am asking you to be an 'educated' racist. Seriously, enough of these rediculous cases of 'Sikhs/Hindus mistaken for Muslims' that have been going on after 9/11. Before you beat a 'Middle Eastern-looking' person to death, make sure they are Muslims first. Here is a quick hint: Muslims don't wear large turbans in Western cities with a big dot on their foreheads, those are Sikhs. Aren't there schools specializing in this?

Let me ask you a question, Lets say i told you there would be another major attack on the US involving sucide, and then I asked which out of these race groups commited it. White Black Hispanic Chinesse Muslium Would you say theres an equal chance that anyone of them did it? I along with most people would say theres a better chance the musliums did it. Would that be racism? well, yes it would, but its not like the 1950's racism, theres more logic behind it. To think theres a less chance of a white person shaving there bodies and giving themselfs to allah(sp) is racist but not "pure stupidity"
