IF we get the #1 pick
Lienart - Definately. . .esp If they win the BCS and go undedeated
If he wins another heisman . . . To me .. you have to take a shot at him
    you don't trade him
    but that is another thread

    As for the Texans
what pisses me off is they gave up
it was a bad call .. but they gave up after that
The DEFENSE did not .. not saying they were good but they held
the Bengals to a Fieldgoal and kept us in the game
    with time on the clock

I don't know what the hell was going on with that last drive

wow...i thought we looked a lot better. doesn't surprise me we lost on the road to a team that is now 4-0.

most of you turkeys were talking blowout. didn't happen. the texans moved the ball better than they have in a long time...not that that's saying much, i know. a loss is a loss, for sure. but i felt a lot better about this one than i did about the previous 2.

I like how many "brilliant" NFL minds we have here on this board. If you guys are such geniuses, why are you not getting paid to run these teams? Honestly the way some of you talk makes me think you guys think you could do a better job than some of these people. You can't.

if we didn't talk about .. . what is the purpose of the thread?
    of being fans?

of the game. . it is part of the fun . . .

based on ya'lls definition . . if u not paid for it. .you cannot comment on anything

It's not the comments. It's the fact that some of these guys think they actually know more than the guys being paid to coach. It's amazing to me.

how dare anyone criticize an 0-3 team who has one of the worst offenses in the league.

It's called having a Passion for your team. Most Houston sports fans have no idea what this concept is all about.

I have passion for my team. I never give up on Houston teams unlike most of you. These same "passionate" fans are the ones that doubted the Astros all year. All of these brilliant minds would've had the Astros overpaying for free agents in the wake of the Beltran situation. We didn't. Look where we are now. There's a reason none of us are making money to make those decisions.

Who specifically in this thread gives you the impression that they think they can be an NFL coach? I don't see anyone giving out that vibe other than in joke posts or in overexaggerations.

    I think you are reaching.

Totally agree. Carr needs the chance to actually play the game, versus running around the backfield dodging the defense.

Yea. . and Steve Francis need his teammates to knock down some open shots

    Blah blah Blah
SF is gone because he didn't 'lead his team'
    Same standard with Carr

This "tuck" rule call was horrific! This is going to be discussed the whole week. How does this replay junk work? I mean, if all of us and the TV analysts say that it was a pass then why does this replay option fail? Do the refs see the same replay as us? Or is there some weird conspiracy that there is a ref "Big Brother" upstairs in the boxes telling him what to do or does Tagliabue get a call to decide what to do? Probably "phoning" a friend.
I mean cmon! Sometimes I think that this replay stuff is rigged in some way.

However, I thought the Texans did a better job this week. Defense kept up with Cincy's offense and made better plays on offense except for the last possession. Seems like Carr is soo nervous to make a mistake that it actually looks like the O'line collapses or maybe the O'line really does stink.

I felt that the Texans had a chance to win if it wasn't for that stupid call.

That would be most excellent. Trade Carr to the Jets, Miami or any other team in need of a long term QB. All we would need is a few jockstraps and a couple of helmets in return and we'd be golden.

Why would we bring in another young QB? To ruin his career too behind our stellar line? Not to mention the great coaching he'd receive. And he can't even run for his life like Carr can, with his bum leg. I'd rather take Reggie Bush than Leinart, and I don't even want Reggie. We NEED to take a tackle, Ferguson, McNeil, or Scott.

If we end up with the #1 pick, we'll trade down - hopefully the team at #3.

Ideally, we can trade down 2 spots (grab the Virginia OL) and get a high 2nd and take a WR playmaker to complement Andre Johnson.

2 starting additions on offense would go a long way.

Im hoping the Texans lose every game this season. There is no benefit of 7-9 vs 2-14 other than Dom Capers and Charley Casserly saving their jobs.

Like I said, there is no reason for us to go 7-9.

I would like to hear the NFL's explanation of the play. But they will probably say there was no "definitive" evidence to reverse the call.

Does the ref on the field actually make the decision or is it the booth upstairs?

I never said they were right, I actually said I agreed that it was a bad call, obviously that ref thought otherwise, whatever he was looking at, he thought he made the correct call. Maybe he will be reprimanded, I imagine the media will point it out, and we'll see it over and over on sportscenter.

We should start rooting against the Texans now so they get a high draft pick and fire capers, casserly.
