Now that it looks like hes not going to the Lakers where could he go? or is he bound for retirement?

It sounds like his agent is hardcore on a S&T deal yet every team that's been remotely interested has backed off. Sounds to me like a S&T isn't plausible anymore and Spree might just have to take part of the MLE, LLE or the vet minimum and find some other means to feed his family.

spree will end up retiring. he is too proud to take less money than he feels he deserves.

Spre's got all the pride of a minor-league baseball mascot. He'll play for the Quad City Thunder for hubcaps and three-hundred lira.

Sprewell was a superstar back in his prime. Now he is losing his step progressively each game. He might be kicking himself for not having taken that lucrative, I mean low ball deal Minnesota had on the table a couple of years ago!! Geez, Spreweell dumb decision just could have taken a lot of millions of dollars of his families dinner table.

It will be fun to see who bites on a S&T!!!

Spree's family sure could have used that 7 million per year that Minnesota was offering. Maybe he should go beg for another deal with the Timberpups. You know, for his family's sake. . .

I had totally forgotten he was still available. At some point in the early part of the season someone will get hurt and do a S & T.

Unless the Lakers are definitely out of the picture, I still see him going there at $2.5MM. If not the Lakers, I have no idea.

I'm counting four feeding his family posts. Man, has any player made a comment that's become a more automatic joke whenever his name comes up? Well, I hope Spree's rims sell well this year because his contract sure won't be that rich.

    We talking 'bout PRACTICE!

...and of course, our beloved Steve Francis's "don't know what I'll wake up to" quote while expressing his love for Mobley

Carrol Dawson's "greatest team ever assembled" was pretty popular for a while, though it was taken somewhat out of context...

Those are all classics as well. I guess I was thinking more about the "coming back to bite you in the ass factor." Those quotes are all pretty good, but they don't have the delicious irony of Spree trashing an offer in a reprehensible show of selfishness and then being left with no contract options a year later. Now if only he'd break his hand on his yacht again...
