http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0417148/ Coming to a theatre near you. What's that? Samuel L. Jackson is in every movie? Come watch him in Snakes on a plane, where there's snakes..... on a plane! SNAKES ON A PLANE!
"We're going to make it! We will survive!" *Shark jumps out of a well and eats Jackson. Man, how can you not love that?
Well, it the perfect compliment to "Black Snake Moan" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0462200/ Plot Outline: The plot involves a white nymphomaniac who must be "cured" of her disorder by an older black bluesman
Wait, Black Snake Moan (written and directed by the guy who did Hustle & Flow) and Afrosamurai (based on a japanese manga) ought to be cool, but Snakes on a Plane sounds like an SNL sketch that shouldn't be a movie but was made into one anyway. Some pics can be found here:http://www.cinemablend.com/new.php?id=1574 It's Keenan from SNL, I knew it was an snl movie... Hi, I'm the snake inspector. I'm holding out hope that this movie is a comedy that makes fun of B Movies.
This thread is hilarious. Someone saw the imdb listing at another message board I'm on, and an equally-hilarious thread ensued. Anyone remember that SNL skit about snakes on a plane?
Was that a John Goodman episode? and the puppet snake at the end? "For the right side of the plane, if you look out the window you can see the Grand Canyon; and on the left side of the plane, there's still a poisonous cobra loose remorselessly killing all the passengers." I really hope this movie is succesful, because I think it might lead to a TV News Magazine running a Special Report: Snakes on a Plane - Could it Happen for Real?
sorry to bring up an old thread, so i'll just say it's a few months old instead of saying that it's from last year. anyway... is anyone as excited as i am about this movie. of course it's going to suck because it really is a thriller more than a comedy, but if anything you you can say that you went to go see "snakes on a plane". the title is sheer brilliance. it started off as "snakes on a plane", then tentatively changed to "pacific flight 121" (or something like that), and then back to "snakes on a plane" after samuel jackson confirmed it during a tv interview. the phrase even has an alternate meaning now if you check out the urban dictionary site. because of my lack of a life, i've been doing news searches, thread following in imdb (which you really should check out... esp the one that has 300 something replies), and other research about this movie. i didn't realize that this movie already has a strong following even though the movie isn't remotely close to coming out yet. is anyone else excited about this movie? seriously. don't you even smirk just a little bit after hearing the title?
