    Hilfiger is for people who think they know fashion, but in reality, do not have a clue. I wouldn't dress a corpse in Hilfiger.

    I would think the value of THilfiger would go down in the perception of people who buy TH...In reality, I would imagine Wal-Mart would leave the prestige alone, just fix the margin...

    When I was growing up, people would make fun of you if you got clothes at Wal-Mart or even Target. Out here in the small town, it's very different. Everyone shops at Wal-Mart. Not that many other choices, and people don't have that much disposable income. So I started doing it too...

    ...with mixed results. I've gotten some good things there. On the other hand, there was that nice red button-down shirt that was fine until I washed it. I realized this morning that it would never be useful again, at least not as "teaching clothes". It's about half the size it was. I would like to be able to wear something at least twice...
