Put CD on steroid he'd outplay Moochie Norris.

I'm willing to eat my share of crow if Norris proves me wrong, in sweet and sour flavor.

He might be talking about the 03-04 season in which Norris averaged 4.3 pts, 2 asts at 41FG% and 34 3P% in 12 minutes, but in the next season he averaged 2.6 pts and 1.1 asts in 10 minutes, shooting only 34%. :(

About two months ago I saw Moochie Norris at a restaurant here in Katy. Made me do a double-take. And you know? I've been to a game courtside at Compaq Center and know that Moochie was one chunky dude then (he and Walt Williams walked past me during the game, maybe to go take a wiz, who knows) and he was looking fairly lean.

Take it with a grain of salt. Maybe without the 'fro anyone would look svelte? And the "restaurant" was Chick-Fil-A.

Can't help but think CD wants Mooch traded, so of course Mooch is in "the best shape of his life" (*sigh*; CD, can you find a new pet phrase; or does this one always work and you'll manage to trade Mooch and other "great" players for Jason Kidd?)

Or CD wants us to have a little of hope and go buy tickets to see the great Moochster weave in and out of traffic (dribble dribble dribble) and in and out of traffic (dribble dribble dribble), then stand at the 3 point line (dribble dribble dribble) 21, 22, 23.... (oh ****! 3 point shot! CLANG!)

Ok, everyone that knows anything about the NBA, let's all say this together:

CHARLIE WARD IS DONE! He will NEVER be anything more than a 15th man on this or any other roster. Dude is simply not capable of defending point guards in the NBA anymore and we can't play 4-on-5 when we're on defense.

Admins, can we make this its own sticky? Include in said sticky that Badiane STILL sucks, Spanoulis ISN'T ready (and may never be), and while we're at it, we can add a couple of retroactive notes:

    Langhi sucks
    Moochie sucks
    Boki sucks
We should've drafted Rashard instead of Mirsad Turckan
    Cato/Taylor/Moochie/Maloney were overpaid and overestimated

    any others?

I get nervous when Moochie's name comes up in the management's take on our guard situation. BTW, what does being in "good shape" has anything to do with Moochie's worth? It's not his shape that we're worried about. It's his basketball skills. And apart from Isiah, I don't see that any GM in the league would fall for that sell.

Now, Wesley is another story. If they could find some sort of magic to rejuvenate Wesley's body back to his rookie form, then I'd be pumped.

Agree with SGC and DD - Hopefully CD is working the "pump and dump" angle for Moochie. As for the 2 for 1 guard thing that's circulated here for weeks - - Any combination/correlation of Moochie trade, C Ward looking for position in Rockets management (retirement), Sura surgery ( career threatening per Chronicle or retirement?), Wesly ??? and/or possible Williams signing ?

Since sending a player to the NBDL does not free up a roster spot (still counts in the 15 player inactive/active list) and the NBA coaches have little influence on NBDL practices and PT there is little incentive to use the NBDL.

Even if we have zero plans to give Head regular NBA minutes and he is last man on the bench, it sounds like we would rather have him with the Rockets and not the NDBL.

I am still not that worried about PG. James is a PG, DA can play PG and I think should start as our PG with Sura healing. DW and JB can play the SG. All we need is for Head or Mooch to play garbage minutes until Sura gets back, anything more is gravy (am doubtful Head will be ready to do anything this year, and even more skeptical Mooch can break the rotation).

In talking to a Chronicle sports reporter friend of mine a couple of months ago, he told me the same thing - Moochie is looking great. I kind of rolled my eyes, but hearing CD say it too, now I believe it.
