Not because they're horrible educators or anything, but because their 100s of buses they decided to evacuate on Beltway 8 during today's morning rush hour. Anyone else's drive take unusually long because of the yellow submarines? I never got over like 30 miles an hour from Pearland Parkway until my exit at Richmond... and I went at a snails pace from the Fort Bend tollroad to Richmond. I was going so slow I could easily snap pictures of the jackholes. Images of the madness: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 Seriously, couldn't they have waited until mid-morning?
there's going to be all kinds of traffic nightmares. the evacuations are going in stages...with a strict time-table.
