You guys in Houston need to take of yourselves. Take your pets. I'm concerned about you -- especially my family in Clear Lake. I moved from there 3 months ago. I wish I was there right now. How does the 2 A.M Mandatory evacuation work for Zone B? I think Clear Lake is in Zone B . . . ?
Can anyone tell me what the mandatory evacuation areas are in Houston? My parents live in Alief/Mission Bend and my girlfriend just went down there to volunteer in the Reliant Center. Seems like all circuits are busy when I try to contact any of them. Any info would be great. Thanks.
I called my parents who live off 290 and Huffmeister and they are getting nervous. Good Luck everyone
I live by the Galleria and my parents live up where your parents do. My parents want me to evacuate to their house... How is that any safer??? I'm sticking it out in my house.
I'm quickly getting there. We're not in the flood plain, but the wind damage could still do lots of damage.
I'm worried about our house in New Territory. My parents are over seas, and there aren't any renters right now! Blinn College in Bryan just closed their school till monday. (effective Thursday noon)
quick question, i know its been asked many times before, but how does it look for Humble? I know that no one can tell where this thing is goin, but mabye some insight, or past history would help me in my decision to get outta here. Thx in advance guys. Everyone out there be safe, and I hope all goes well.
I'm in Sugar Land and we're sticking it out. I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried but hopefully everything will work out ok.
I own a Car Audio store on Gessner & I-10 called The New CJ Sounds. We decided to close up the shop and not take any chances. Im also gona take my family and leave but all the hotels in Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, even Waco are booked. I did however find a open hotel in El Paso so ill probably be headed out there.
I'm in Missouri City and that is my one big fear as well. My house has storm windows and doors on it, but those don't protect the roof or anything big flying around and hitting a wall hard.
Yeah I also live in New Territory...what I am worried about is all the decorative trees and palm trees they have every few feet to make the landscape look good. I don't want any trees coming thru my windows/cars.
Sugar Land should be fine save for some heavy winds and such. You're right that it's not within the flood plain. I don't see any problem with ya'll sticking it out, other than maybe losing power temporarily.
Sheet. THat reminds me. Our neighbors have 50ft palm trees all along their fense along our garage and back of our house. They planted them when they were small to look nice around their pool. Now their huge. Man...I hope none of those break off and hit the garage. We just spent 8 grand repairing the balcony in the backyard.
