    Hey Clutchfans,

I would like to point out the point that of all the PLAYERS that Memphis lost this off-season that Pau Gasol thought that Stromile...along with Earl Watson were the most severe losses that impacted the Memphis core.

It's nice to here that from the franchise player, that our new big man was highly coveted by Gasol, great outlook for the 2005-2006 season.

Was it even a question that stro was their biggest loss?

he may have been their most talented loss, but not production, although the others were lost in trades so I guess you have to factor in what they got in return.

Yes it was a big question, because james Posey (traded) was their biggest loss...Stro never played the amount of minutes that a Lo Wright or a Gasol got...so thats why I would question something like this.

I feel like we were validated when it comes from a team mate and not us because we see him or hear about him approximately 10 times a year, but heres a guy that has known him for three full seasons.

Along with Stromile Swift, they lost Bonzi Wells, Jason Williams, James Posey, and Earl Watson. Those are all quality players. So yes, it was then and still is a question as to whether Stromile is their biggest loss. Ask MemphisX.

Well at least for the backcourt losses, they were able to fill those gaps in, but have yet to find someone to fill in the void Stromile left. Otherwise, I would have thought J Williams would have been the biggest loss.

Pau is such a sissy. The bigger surprise is that he had positive comments about Stromile rather than his favorite eye liner.

Well, Stro was the one player we lost that I would want back. I think he will be a productive PF in the league and we got bupkus for him when he should have been moved 2 seasons ago. He is not going to be an All Star but he will be a better than average starter at his position. Also because we did not replace him, it will hurt our depth in the post.

"Obviously, I wish we hadn't lost some of the guys we let go, especially Stromile and Earl. We lost some quality players, but we got a lot of talent in exchange, too." - Pau Gasol

I know, I know. It's actually just him saying he's sorry to see Stro gone. He doesn't actually comment on what he thinks about Stromile, his game, etc., but at least he's sorry to see him go.

Gasol has always said Swift was his best friend in the team.
So I guess he is sorry Stro left the team personal-wise and talent-wise.
    They are good buddies.

Pao-Schmao, he just doesn't want Stro to posterize him this year like he did Yaao Schmao. "But remember, we were buddies last year"

What will be Stro's game be like along side Y>Ming?

I guess a Cato-esque/ Amare-esque would be what we should expect.
