Why did we signed Baxter vs Badiane?

If Loren Woods can break one off during the Summer League and Badiane can't. I wouldn't care if we were bringing in Oliver "Man Boobs" Miller over the Bad at basketball Man.

Plus didn't Badiane sign a contract with his Euro-team? If so, we'd have to buy out his contract. If Badiane can't contribute, which sounds like he can't, then Les certainly doesn't want to shell out extra cash beyond his NBA contract.

I don't think Badian is quite ready for the NBA yet and Baxter won't really see that many minues outside of garbage time. We signed him mainly for depth...

We signed Baxter because he could possibly be useful to the team. Badiane, with his wingspan, would only be useful when it comes to giving reach-a-rounds.

    Note to CC.net board:

BADIANE IS A PIPE DREAM, IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO BE OUR 15TH MAN, AND IT IS PROBABLE THAT HE NEVER, EVER, EVER WILL.

Oh, and Moochie, Ward, and Baker are also absolutely no help to us ON THE COURT. If there was a way for the Rockets to get anything in return for those three they'll do it in a heartbeat.

But please, PLEASE, let's stop believing that Moochie will get a jumper, Ward will age in reverse, and Vin Baker will stop being a fat waste of roster space with no discernable basketball skills left.

But everybody was convinced, that Badiane got great potential, size, etc...
    He was lacking only experience...
Baxter on other side - got no potential...
Would it be better to give Badiane a chance?

can we retire Badiene i mean he gets more burn on here than V-Span who has a much better shot of making the team, would be here now if he wanted to be.

Um, who actually believes this? I don't think there is anyone on the board that thinks Ward, Moochie and Baker are worth anything except for being expiring contracts.

I was really refferring to the time period following the Juwan injury. There were more than a few people on this board that suggested we try starting Vin Baker, "just to see what he can give us."

Also, weren't there like 500 threads about 2 season's ago suggesting we move francis to the two and start Mark Jackson!?!?!?

It's a common problem among people who don't follow the game, they just follow the Rockets.

I think we already have an athletic PF on the team. His name is Stromile Swift.
