i am experiencing a problem with my windows media player. whenever i try to play a audio or video file or even when i just try to open the program up i get a message that says "An internal application error has occured" and the message box just has a button to push that says "OK" and thats it. i tried to install wmp again but when it gets to the end of installing it i get that same message. does any of you know what is wrong?
I personally haven't done this, but I'll throw it out there. Try unchecking Windows Media Player in Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs>Add/Remove Windows Components (button on left side of window). Then visit Microsoft's website and download the latest. Kind of the clean and reinstall way to go. Perhaps you could also use a restore point, if it happened recently.
did not work. it said it that it was just to remove wmp from the start menu. another thing about this, when i look under yahoo messenger it says three must haves for messenger is wmp, internet, and flash. now when i use yahoo messenger i cannot see what people type to me and i can see what i am typing but not when it is sent. also when i try to view videos online i get a error message saying DirectShow could not be started.
Dookie Sandwich, that is an awesome screen name, How did you come up with it. *Never mind, i probably don't want to know*
