Crown Royal isn’t Scotch. It’s Canadian Whisky.

I’m not sure what you get down there, or how it’s priced, but Wiser’s Deluxe is also a very good Canadian Whisky.

As far as Scotch goes, Teachers makes good paint remover. ;) Single malt is the only way to go. Glenlivet and Glenfiddich are my two standards, but if you want to open the wallet a bit more Lagavulin and that Balvenie Double Wood someone mentioned are two of my favourites.

I'm a gin man myself, but I've recently developed a taste for whiskey. I plan on trying some of these you guys listed. I know from past posts that SWTSig is my man for scotch reccomendations.

BTW, I agree you get what you paid for. When I was younger (not legal drinking age) I bought the cheap stuff once (Evan Williams). Nothing but trouble. I've been on Crown ever since.

Forgot to list a favorite. Scotch is defintly my favorite type and prefer it neat. Im dont really know my scotch all that well but macallan 15 year is some pretty good stuff.

I prefer the blended whiskey - crown royal as an example.

Crown is the best but too expensive so I get Canadian Mist or Seagrams 7.

You should try the Crown Special Reserve. A little more expensive but damn it's smooooth.

tastes so good it'll make an alcoholic stop drinking.

ok, I've never tasted it, but 126-130 proof sounds pretty rough.
