a few years ago, we were in saudi, and there was this HUGGGE streetball challenge set up by one of the princes. entry was like 40 dollars, so me and my brothers all decided to join up. it was 3 on 3 with one sub. we had some tall scrawny arab as our sub/center we won our first 2 games easy, but then some team with 2 jordanian and one lebanese player, and their sub was a somali. whoooped us up. they would just drive it in on us and dunk. easy as that. it was then i realized that americans arent the best at this game anymore. oh, and that team that beat us went on to win, so its not that bad.
There are a few possible future NBA players on this Chinese team. Yi Jianlian#11, a 7-foot PF and Sun Yue #4, a 6-9 Point guard. Both of them are playing now in garbage time.
I concur. The average American might not be very good, but the best in the USA are better than the best else where. IMO. Like, stick TMAC, Kobe etc.... Too bad yall lost. THat would have been interesting to see.
Did he just start looking rusty after the cut on his chin or was he just rusty through out the whole game? If it was the cut that hindered his play hmmmmm He needs to toughen up a bit. If he was rusty throughout the whole game.... I'm worried...
I don't see that in the channel selection. I see Movie, but that's in chinese with english subtitles.
He played well in the 1st quarter, went out in the 2nd. Did not play well in the 3rd and did not play much in the 4th.
The venue of this tournament is un-freakin'-believable. An embarrassment to Asian basketball, to say the least. Don't know who picked the darn site. It doesn't look like Qatar asked for it.
I wouldn't worry.....did you see the Katrina charity game? Most of the those guys couldn't hit their jump shots......heck they were even blowing layups...LOL
I was right only less than 900,000 people in the whole country. but the number of males/females is crazy, 1.88 male /female, does two men share a wife in that country?
I don't have any problem with Qatar as a country, which has hosted many other sporting events wonderfully. My point was why Asian Basketball Association (or whatever the correct name for that entity is) chose a member country where basketball is a game basically nobody watches. Aren't you as a basketball fan disturbed by the scene of vast empty seats in the stand? After all, Yao Ming is an international star.
PPLive English channel list, to those who are interested: http://www5.pplive.com/english/programlist.shtml Most of the channels are in chinese anyway, and I believe CCTV5 will show all remaining Chinese basketball games.
