Those are some pretty good tricks, but I usually don't have to work too hard to get a representative anyways. The whole automated telephone complaint is a little over-rated. If you have an ounce of patience, you usually get to a representative.
that reminds me of how much I despise companies who disable the "0" button and make you go all the way through the menu to find out how to talk to someone....
