Anybody watching the pregame for this. Trotter and Mathis already got ejected for fighting. Now just about both entire teams were in the middle of the field bouncing up and down, pushing, and talking trash to each other. This is going to be a good game.
Yea... but once they get their padding on, there really isn't that much damage any of these teams can do (or it won't be that much more than stuff that normally happens on any given week). The best "vengence" they can get is to play good football... and make it a good game. MNF and ABC could have used some more of those over the last 3 years... maybe then, this wouldn't be the last year for it.
get your bets in on atl (+2)... i am sitting here watching the line move! unreal! w/out trotter, vick may have a field day!
What happened???? What happened???? OooOoohhh, I'm so confused... - Homer anyways, I have Atlanta's defense...
Trotter and Kevin Mathis start talking trash to each other at midfield, and then Mathis swings at him. Trotter either went to push or swing at him, but it was broken up soon after that. The refs even threw a flag even though the game hadn't started. Both players were ejected. A few minutes later both teams met mid-field and were talking, bouncing around...looked just like a college game. Apparently the refs went back and looked at the video and said they saw both players throw a punch, and both will remain ejected.
Yeah, it really didn't seem that way. Strange thing is, they actually went back and reviewed it...guess they saw some different look than the TV audience?
McNabb was off all night and was responsible for all 3 of Philly's turnovers. McNabb, Trotter, and Akers cost the Eagles the game. McNabb was completely off all game, Trotter knows what he means to this defense (Atlanta had 200 yards rushing and that is what Trotter shuts down) and he has to be smarter than what he did, Akers missed two field goals early that would have gave Philly the win.
He had 7 catches for 112 yards, I call that playing very well for someone that's unhappy with his team.
Another ood point. Like I said in my post, McNabb was off most of the night, especially after he took that big hit to the chest that I thought was illegal and deserving of a penalty flag but I guess I was wrong. Good game though.
