In an 8 team league I picked 1 and ended up with this team (listed in order of pick):

    LT
    McNabb
    Moss
    T.O.
    Baltimore Defense
    M. Bennett
    Steve Smith
    Steven Jackson
    Vanderjagt
    A. Gates
    Deion Branch
    Drew Brees
    Indy Defense

I immediately traded Bennett for Dominick Davis because the guy drafting him had RB's with the same bye week. Gates fell hard because we didn't know he was going to sign an offer sheet until after the draft. Westbrook fell to the 8th round because ther were 2 of us who would have picked him but 1 guy already had his RB limit and I already had McNabb and TO. There are a couple of guys in the league that are clueless and it is a joy to take their money every year. The guy picking after me took Curtis Martin with the 2nd pick. He took Tiki in the 2nd round. I'd post his whole draft list here but I am afraid someone might pull a muscle from laughter.

You're freaking loaded depending on how the Gates situation works out, and I think you jumped the gun on the Balt D. 5TH round in an 8 team league? Depending on how the draft was flowing, I would have held out and drafted the Buffalo D if there were better backup RB's on the board. Bennett for Davis? Is dude on the pipe?

I'm not a fan of anything below 10 team leagues, but I'd gladly become a diehard fan on draft day with your league members. Are they all homers or were they drafting from the hospital via life support?

PS- Could you find a spot in your $$$ league for me next year? I love free money. :D

The deal with the defense was a draft position thing. We had a guy that couldn't show up, so we have rules in place for that. The main one being that he has to submit a list of positions by round, that he wants and everyone gets to see it. The second is that we have an official list we always use, with position rankings; when it is his turn he gets the next guy available on the list. However, if you are picking immediately behind him you have the option of taking the player slotted to him and giving him the next person on the list. He was picking 3rd and had defense slated for rd 6. The way it worked out was that all but one guy picked a defense in either rd 5 or 6. Had I waited until a later round I would have ended up with the 6 or 7 defense on my list. The scoring in this league actually gives some value to team defense; not as much as RB but if your D has a good day it can boost you to a win.

As far as the people in the league goes, there are 2 guys that continually have bad drafts. There are a couple of teams that worry me and 3 guys that should be mediocre. I have been in the league for 5 years and I have finished 4th once, 2nd once and 1st 3 times.

Man from the looks of that you are playing with some guys that don't watch football! You ended up with what most think will be the leagues best RB, two best WR's, best TE, and best D. Not to mention a top 3 QB. Anyone that gives up Domanick Davis for Michael freaking Bennet should just give up fantasy football for good. You'd have to really screw up or get killed by injuries to not dominate your league.

Alright guys, just got back from my draft. Let me know what you think. Here is who I got:

    1. Dominick Davis - RB
    2. Deuce McAllister - RB
    3. Mark Bulger - QB
    4. Reggie Wayne - WR
    5. Tony Gonzalez - TE
    6. Anquain Boldin - WR
    7. Larry Johnson - RB
    8. Pittsburgh Defense
    9. Deion Branch - WR
    10. Chris Brown - RB
    11. Josh Brown - K
    12. Rod Smith - WR
    13. Steve McNair - QB
    14. TJ Houshmanzadeh - WR
    15. Marshall Faulk

I'm a little concerned about my top WR's being Wayne and Boldin, but I think I'm pretty solid everywhere else.

Reach on Davis unless it's a receptions league. Good thing Deuce fell. Way too high for Bulger, and McNair is undraftable at this point in his career. Wayne and Boldin are solid but not top notch, Branch and Houshmanzadeh are solid sleepers though. TG best in the business which gives you the advantage over any other team without Gates.

    Nothing great but you'll compete.

Thanks moe. Yeah it is a receptions league and Carr is constantly dumping it off to Davis which is why I took him there. He's not the most durable back though so that concerns me a little. We get +1 per reception. There was an early run on QB's which is why I grabbed Bulger that early. Manning, McNabb, Culpepper, Collins, Green, and Favre all went ahead of my pick. I'm really happy I ended up with Gonzalez, especially considering the +1 receptions.

If I was you I would start Brooks ahead of Carr. As much as Brooks sucks he always puts up decent numbers fantasy wise. I think you're solid at RB, weak at 3rd WR but most people are at that position.

8 team league, just had the draft Sunday. This was my first fantasy league in at least 2 years. (*) denotes a week 1 starter. .

    1. (7) S. Alexander *
    2. (10) T. Green *
    3. (23) W. McGahee *
    4. (26) R. Wayne *
    5. (39) T. Brady *
    6. (42) A. Green
    7. (55) J. Porter *
    8. (58) A. Crumpler *
    9. (71) S. Smith *
    10. (74) Pittsburgh *
    11. (87) J. Harrington
    12. (90) Carolina
    13. (103) Ro. Smith
    14. (106) M. Robinson *
    15. (119) J. Arrington
    16. (122) F. Taylor
    17. (135) J. Wilkins *
    18. (138) N. Kaeding *
    19. (151) C. Rogers
    20. (154) Denver *

I know I have an abundance of RB's, mainly because I had some technical difficulties (computer) with the Ahman Green pick. I thought Pittsburgh was a steal at round 10 considering some were taking defense as early as the 4th round.

    10 team league with 1 QB, 2 RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1K and 1DEF.

    QB's
Trent Green, Jake Delhomme, Steve McNair
    RB's
Willis McGahee, Jamal Lewis, Tatum Bell, Willie Parker
    WR's
Michael Clayton, Larry Fitzgerald, Santana Moss, Derek Mason
    TE's
    Antonio Gates, Jeremy Stevens
    DEF
    Buffalo
    Kicker
    Ryan Longwell

I am a bit weak at wide reciever, but I am banking on a third running back emerging as nice trade bait for later on in the season. I also tend to think that recievers emerge in the middle of the year from nowhere that you can pick up. Thoughts on this lineup?

It was discussed. I couldn't care either way, but everyone else didn't want to be limited to having to draft a TE

It made the draft odd, b/c TEs were treated as WRs, so I think only Gates and Gonzalez got drafted, no one else.

Just completed a trade. I traded jamal lewis for chad johnson. Besides' Lewis poor week 1 performance, as a Steeler fan, I would much rather have
Chad and not have to root for Jamal.
