Our pass defense has been suspect for a while - it will be interesting to see if that comes back to hurt us down the road (Tech, maybe?). Fortunately, we don't play many big pass offenses, and those that do, don't have a running game so we can re-focus.

Outside of that, I agree - we looked great and there's a certain feel about this year's team. I really liked the reverse call, though it totally failed. Hopefully it does not scare Davis from calling quirky plays down the road - that's the kind of stuff that will open up stuff against good defenses. And if Vince is shut down running, quit calling QB draws. That said, we should be favored the rest of the way, especially with OU really struggling, and Tech at home. If we don't screw something up, this season has some serious potential.

Not sure, but his end zone antics might have been a factor in him not getting the ball as much in the 2nd half(plus the botched reverse-although charles gets the blame too because of the pitch).

Maybe we should hand it off next time like 99.9% of teams running a reverse.

Making a freshman RB pitch it to another player while running in full stride is ridiculous.

As the announcer said, he watched them practice that play and they fumbled it then too.

Greg Davis did a good job in the 4th quarter but the offense really struggled in the 2nd half after OSU made some adjustments.

We are very good but we also got very lucky. The dropped pass by OSU. When Brian Robison batted the ball down and was caught on the rebound and lost 4 yards. Those 2 plays were huge.

Greg Davis really needs to get the running game going.

And Slevin Young should be done. Jamaal Charles and Melton are our future.

Our offense is fine guys! Any other team and Vince would of ran wild. There arent too many teams in college with a trio of good LBs.

True...I dont know why everyone is saying that our offense sucks cuz it doesnt. We just went up against monster linebackers who love to spy and are quick enough not to get beat on the spy.

There is no other team with a trio of linebackers like OSU. So dont sweat it. I agree that our WR need a little more work but still our offense doesnt suck.

Also Major M, you forgot to put the score in your sig. Dont forget that too. Also please spell Vince correctly.

great game. Being born in Oklahoma, I feel a little dirty admitting this, but tonight was the first time I openly rooted for the 'Horns. I guess I'm finally a true Texan after 11 years.

Since I took the bet before the game started, I should technically name your signature.

Samar's signature is awesome, but please add:

"I love orange popsicles up my ass. Please ask me why."

    I love it.

I think my tear ducts have finally dried up. I don't think I've ever been so emotional after a game as I was last night. I couldn't talk, sleep, eat, or drink.

I had trouble breathing or thinking. I felt like I had the wind knocked out of me and all I could do is hysterically smile.

    Poise.

It's what we've lacked all this time, until the Vince era. He showed it at the Rose Bowl and showed it again last night, and it rubs off on the entire team.

Now that they've shown poise, they need to show a little bloodlust. It's high time for a Sooner Slaughter. It's time for Texas to do a Spurrier-like ridiculous run it up on OU and beat them by 60 points like they've done to us. It's time for revenge.

    Bring it on!

Yes, Vince has poise, but Texas teams always had it, they just never had a qb who had it. I remember in 01, not to pick on Simms but, UT was in the Oklahoma game till the very end but they never got Simms to step up. Then he absolutely played them out of that Big XII Championship Game the same year. Major had it, but his teams weren't that talented, neither was he.

Sad to see highly recruited kid like Selvin never get his career off the ground. When I was at UT, there was this guy named Daryl something from Dallas and the same thing happened. Stayed injured and just couldn't get started. But Mr. S. Young, your career is over.

It takes someone with Vince's unmatched talent to overcome Greg Davis's unmatched stupidity.

I have to hand it to the new defensive coordinator because this is the best the texas defense has looked in over 2 decades.

What a game ~ it was a miracle UT pulled it out because of the pathetic play calling -- "Hey lets run Vince through the tackles again" blah blah blah....

At any rate UT has something special continuing on from the Rose Bowl.
