I started getting pretty emotional..... I went through Hurricane Alicia in the 80s and the neighborhood next to mine called Brownwood was completely wiped out....nothing but slabs.....the Storm surge took em away...very strange feeling. DD
Eh, lost a little punch after the political stuff was inserted. Good for him for helping. I hope he knows that a lot of liberals are helping as well.
"I rarely agree with television talking heads, mainly because they are so liberal and also so ignorant about the world around them. I had to concede that, for once, they were right."
Sorry, can't help it mainly because I don't think it was just a jab at the media. I think the guy's a hero and I admire what he did, I just thought it was a very unnecessary comment. It is too bad that he couldn't be the head of FEMA or something.
Well, I think Sean Penn is a blithering idiot, but I did admire what he did by going down there, his political motivations notwithstanding.
I feel exactly the same way. I honestly shouldn't have brought it up. That's my bad. It was a great story and I respect the guy for the help he brought to those who needed it.
Maybe its just the skeptic in me but I find almost everything on the internet difficult to believe, including this blog. Its a great story but sounded like it was made up. If true, then good for him.
The blog is from a friend of a friend...I have met the man, and my friend that is in the same (vehicle restoration) group and I have no doubt that the story is real. DD
I hope that this blog is true and I have no doubt that there have been people that have made an extraordinary effort to help the victims of this disaster, but I get the feeling that this story is made up. But, there are some things that seem to random for it to be a made up story, like the guy asking to have his piano moved.
