I'll agree with that. As I've been saying around here this past week, racism isn't something that is "on" or "off." Racism occurs with many varying degrees of grey. The rednecks would be a heavily saturated grey while Wolf's comment may be a light grey. It is OKAY to talk about race. We are all so damn sensitive in America that those that don't understand PC outright reject anything that stinks of PC. We need to find common ground somewhere. The only way to asess true racism is to understand the underlying intent. You can have a well intentioned person make a stupid comment and you can have a member of the KKK make a statement that sounds reasonable. You have to understand intent. IMO, I don't think Wolf's intent was harmful particularly given that he is jewish.
Some liberals are just as racist as right-wingers, and Wolf certainly seemed to 'slip' on that one. To answer your question, being 'poor' and 'White' is much worse in a capitalist society than being 'rich' and 'Black'. Don't forget that 75% of welfare recepients in this country are White-Americans (or European-Americans to me more accurate). Time for European-Americans to get off their arses and stop being a burden on this society. Just kidding btw...
There hasn't been a person on this planet that hasn't made a comment that was racist at some level. That doesn't actually mean the person would do and say something to intentionally defame others. Its about Intent.
