    1. Brent Barry. SAS already let Brown go after getting NVE and Fin. They cannot possibly have a need, or want, for BB -- and his contract.

BB could help at the 1, or be a shooter at the 2 with his deadeye 3. And a backcourt of All Barrys Some of the time would blind us with the light...

Wes and his expiring for BB and his too long a contract?

1a. Corliss Williamson. Sac already has a glut of forecourtsmen. Corliss and his two years 12.5 mil has to be too much for Maloof I & II.

C-Will as a bench 3/4 would add some nice forecourt O, a nice change-up with either SS or TMc getting a breather.

But, for what? For whom? Wes and Ward? Their contracts expire and CW's continues one more year while DW can help 'groom' Sac's youngster?

In any regard, either of these whoms would be a nice addition to this roster. I would love to have either one here.

Brent fits into SA plan and rotation. No way that they would trade him for a lesser player in Wes who plays the same position.

CWill is also a major part of the Kings rotation. No chance at him.

1)I don't think SA is going to want to trade with us and help us improve considering we are probably their toughest rival now. In addition to being in the same division if Barry goes anywhere I see him going East or to a non contender in the west.

    2) If slow nastys contract is too large for the Maloofs it's certainly too large for us. Besides, this guy is getting old, he's slower than a slug and also undersized. I'd much rather see Baxter get a shot or Braggs re-signed.

    3) I know a lot of people want to trade D-Wes but unless it's going to be for someone that will really make a difference then why even bother? Wesley when he's on can swing the momentum of games and I'm interested to see what he can do under his 2nd year as a Rocket.

How about Darius Miles for Baker, Ward, and a couple future picks? Then trade Wesley and James or Moochie for Tinsley. Then sign Sprewell and Baxter to minimum deals.

    Tinsley/Anderson/Head
    Sprewell/Sura/Barry
    TMac/Miles/Bowen
    Yao/Deke
    Swift/Howard/Baxter

SA isn't going to trade Brent Barry for our guards, none of them are clearly better than Brent. Also, we don't have much need for another combo guard. Sura-James-Wesley-DA-Barry, I don't see where BB would fit in here.

The only way Baxter is the next addition is through a roster cut or injury.

williamson would make a great addition. He can be a real good inside scoring option off the bench to go with Mike James outside/dribble instant offense.

Erm...you're kidding right? Pierce is basically the lesser version of someone we already have on our team.

Barry is not on the Spurs for his regular season play. They would most likely win as many games w/o him. He's thre for the same reason Robert Horry is. To hit big shots when they really matter. No way they trade him unless he really starts some trouble which is out of character for him. If traded, we would be last on their list, becoming more of a threat to SA each year.

Our roster is full. Someone would have to be cut to add another player.

VB, Mooch, and Ward are all eminently cut-a-ble.

SAS would not likely swap with Rox, but BB is likely available in any regard for cap purposes mostly.
Corliss is also available if Sac can get an expiring contract.

Brent Barry's contract is getting worse and worse. He also will be 34 this year, a defensive liability, and is coming off one of his worst shooting seasons despite playing on one of the teams that produce the most wide open perimeter shots. I am sure the Spurs would be happy to dump him with his contract, but I don't think we would have an interest.

Miami might have interest in him now that they have lost their perimeter shooters, but that would be the one team if I am SA I don't trade him to unless I know he will bomb there.

CW costs a lot of money and I am not sure what he gives us we don't get in Howard or maybe Baxter and his 900K. We could dump 1 year off a contract with a CW-JH swap, but I am not sure what it really accomplishes for either team. Maybe if both JH and CW are unhappy in their new roles/team makeup it makes sense to move them for one another, that is all I can think of.

If by CW you mean Clarence Wetherspoon (as opposed to Charlie Ward), Spoon has already been cut via the amnesty rule.
