I was thinking about getting one of these games for my computer.

    1. Which one is better.
    2. Will I need anything (game controller) to play it?
    3. Can you play 2-player games on the PC (uh, yeah, I don't play CD-ROM PC games much)

    Thanks for the input.

I bought 2001 (PC) the day it came out. It's fun, but not $40 fun. The interface, graphics, gameplay are all good. But it's just not as good as I'd hoped. The game gets really boring over time -- within a week you'll be wondering what else there is to play.

I have both NBA Live 2000 and 2001 for the PC. I would go with 2001 if you have a good PC with a nice video card to run it on. You should know that to run 2001 properly, I wouldnt have less than 128MB of ram or you will have slowdown. We have had some fun games using the Microsoft Sidewinder joysticks which allows up to 4 people to play at the same time.( Vs each other or on the same team.) They link at the back of each other. I have used them for years. You can play single player without the joystick but its a major pain. But both are fun games.
