who was a coach who said something like that: " In every team must be a Graig Ehlo! So coach can yell to his players: "You a even worse than Graig Ehlo!"" was that Lenny Wilkens?
Being the player to score the last basket of the '86 finals? He dunked that ball while the crowd was rushing the court as the Celtics blew us out.. Much more famous for that than any shot that beat him.., hehe
Getting scored on by Jordan in that famous last moment shot where Jordan jumps in the air and pumps his fists and Ehlo falls to the ground?
No way was that Lenny Wilkens. He's one of the kindest gentlest souls in sports. It probably wasn't Fratello either since I think he ended up in Cleveland after Ehlo was gone.
According to Basketballreference.com the only coaches that Ehlo has had in his career are Fitch, Wilkins, and George Karl. I think you're right, because Karl only got Ehlo for 1 season at the end of his career, and I doubt he's say something like that about a veteran.
Everyone for gets that Ehlo made the shot to put the cavs in the lead with like 3 ticks left.....everyone forgets because of what MJ did next. changed the course of 2 franchises.....
I don't think I've ever seen a player play worse than Ehlo in his last year with Seattle. Very decent, quite good player, but he was horrific in 96-97.
The reason he fell down is because MJ pushed off. Kinda like the Malone screen on Drexler that freed up Stockton to knock down the shot. Malone bear hugged Drexler. MJ was the best at getting away with the push off.
