I think there me a kernel of hope here. Prempeh, you mentioned that you have another roommate as well? If you can get some cooperation from him and gang up on your trouble-making roommate, it would put more pressure on him to relent than if you tried by yourself. It doesn't have to be about cleanliness or whatever. Think of what would annoy that roommate the most, and then concoct lies about the girl to get him pissed off. ------------------ RealGM Gafford Art Artisan Cakes
Chicks and broads and hoes? Think we could keep all the derogatory language to a minimum? Women do read the bbs you know ------------------ One and a Half!!!!

Hoes I can see bothering people (esp. women). But chicks and broads, lighten up. ------------------ "Of course, thats just my opinion, I could be wrong" -- Dennis Miller
Is the term "skirts" OK? What about "dames"? "Birds"? I would hate to offend sensitive ears. ------------------ I'm about to boldly go where many men have gone before.

What if I start throwing out racial slurs? It amounts to the same damn thing. Don't tell me to lighten up. I seem to remember a thread not to long ago when people were all up in arms about racial slurs on this board. Why should I lighten up when people are throwing out language that offends me? ------------------ One and a Half!!!!
I didn't know chick was a gender based slur. Does that mean we can't say dude or guy. I guess I will just take the Jim Rome approach, if someone says something is offensive, it is. I apologize for offending your delicate feminine sensibilities. ------------------ "Of course, thats just my opinion, I could be wrong" -- Dennis Miller
I think there's a sort of connotation to some of the things people say under different circumstances...they don't mean any offense by it, it's just common language that we use within our little guy circle. But, I have no problem thinking a girl is a b*tch if that's truly what I think she is, just like I have no problem thinking some guy's an a-hole if that's what he is. Words are just letters strung together that form a common meaning between groups of people...for us guys some words we use are not necessarily as a put-down, it's just sort of a popular culture vernacular that we share, like I'm sure you have with your girlfriends, Ali Cat...but I guess we should keep in mind that chicks...I mean females...really do see the board, so I apologize and will try to make a conscious effort to show respect for all the lasses out there. (lasses isn't offensive, is it?) ------------------ P.S. This is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.
