I used to *love* this thing when I was a kid ~ someone should make a 21st century version. ___________________ Football, Atari Inc., 1978. <--- The first true video sports game, Atari's Football was created by Dave Stubben from a game project called X's and O's that was begun by Steve Bristow before he started Tank. Football amazed players with its fast action and complex simulation of a team sport, and it also marked the introductions of both the Trak-Ball and scrolling displays.
Hell yeah.. That game took all my damn cash when I was growning up.. I played the one on x-box and it's just not the same as the old days..
I always liked Steel Talons. Most of the regular cabinet games you can get basically the same or similar experience playing on a console, but the sit down driving/flying games need quite a bit more equipment, and ST was my favorite of those.
"Welcome to Cyberball." Gawd, I loved that game. Having a titanium running back was a must. Very competitive play at my local Putt-Putt. Since this is pre-Madden on a web-enabled game console, I wonder how popular video games like that are in arcades today? I wish I could find a suitable match for my PS2, but I haven't yet. Anyone? Between Cyberball and my undying love for Ms. Pac-Man, I lost most of my allowance growing up.
