That was a good one. Didn't Paltrow star in an American movie similar to this ? ------------------ "norm, would you like to buy an indian scalp ? This deal isn't gonna make or break me Norm, so don't jerk me around." Harry Carey "Norm, if I had a mohawk scalp, I wouldn't be sitting here talking to you."
Ok, now that someone of legitimate intellect has admitted to watching it, I can admit it, too. I watched the movie and thought it was awesome. They really need to make videos of step shows. Damn, some of those routines are flat-out wicked. ... you weren't kidding about having watched it, were you? ------------------ Yugo grills, Yugo mills, Check out the oil my Yugo spills...
Has anyone seen the End of the Affair? I heard its depressing, yet good. ------------------ This message has been brought to you by: DocRiverPhoenixSunScreen@ [This message has been edited by DocRiverPhoenixSunScreen@ (edited April 20, 2001).]
I rented Bring It On! last night, and it was enjoyable for what it was. Certainly worth the rental fee (which was actually nothing in this case since I had a credit at the rental place). ------------------ Houston Sports Board
Rented "The Tao of Steve" and "Wonderboys" the other night. Hated Steve. Very poorly acted. Painfully so. Wonderboys was fabulous. I haven't been able to bring myself to watch Hawke's Hamlet. I can't stand Hawke. Branagh's is very good, though. And, BTW, Shakespeare does translate to contemporary audiences, people. He is still teaching us about ourselves. Similarly, go see "momento". Unbelievable screenplay. ------------------ Gascon
Dr of Dunk: If you are in the Houston area then you should check out some of the high school step shows there. They are much better than the college ones (better routines and the kids usually have more time to practice), and almost every high school has some type of social organization that steps. They have various shows throughout the year and a championship. Check out the Booker T. Washington Gents if you wanna see a great show, AND THEY DO MAKE TAPES!!! ------------------
I've been dying to see "Bottle Rocket". Someone was supposed to lend me the DVD, but never stepped up. ------------------ "I'll be gettin real drunk and making fun of everybody"
Thanks Icehouse. Most of the step shows I've been to are at colleges like UH, TSU, Prairie View, etc. If you know any way I can get a copy of some of those tapes, let me know. Otherwise, I guess I could just contact the school. ------------------ Yugo grills, Yugo mills, Check out the oil my Yugo spills...
What a whiny b****. (I'm referring to the person who didn't "step up".) ------------------ http://www.swirve.com ... more fun than a barrel full of monkeys and midgets.
I still haven't gotten it back from my co-worker, the minute I do, I e-mail ya. ------------------ www.swirve.com You had me at pagina.
I actually saw a chick flick the other day that surprised me. I came home from work and "Where the Heart is" started. I figure I would watch it until I had to flip the channel. Needless to say, I watched the whole thing. It was the one where the chick lived and delivered her baby in a WalMart. Great characters. Joan Cusack has a small but great part. ------------------
If you want to laugh your a$$ off, rent Kings of Comedy.. funniest thing i have ever seen ------------------
That's DEFINITELY on my Netflix.com list. ------------------ Yugo grills, Yugo mills, Check out the oil my Yugo spills...
Hmm... I just watched Me, Myself, and Irene (yeah, I know, I'm behind) and thought it was funny. Especially the 3 brothers. LOL! There were scenes and lines in that movie that had me rolling. I personally thought it was funnier than There's Something About Mary. ------------------ Yugo grills, Yugo mills, Check out the oil my Yugo spills...
I saw "American Pimp" last nite. A Hughes Brothers film. Very interesting indeed. Lots of B**ches and H**es kinda talk. The editing was great. ------------------ "Me entiendes Mendes? O te explico Federico?"
I don't think you are that behind because many people were getting tired of Jim Carrey's act lately, but I saw this movie also recently and I can't remember laughing so much. ! ------------------ It's my way or the highway!
The sad thing is that I knew who Jennifer Aniston was at the time the original Leprechaun came out. For a while there, she was the Queen of failed TV comedies. SHe played the Jennifer Grey character in the Ferris Bueller TV show. She played the sister of a Pre-Blossom Mayim Bialik in a show called Malloy. And she was in the horrible sketch comedy show called The Edge (which I believe was on FOX and co-starred the Non-Downtown Julie Brown). And I watched every one of those shows when they were on the air. (She also had a short-lived comedy where Stephanie Hodge played her mother, but I didn't see that one). ------------------ Houston Sports Board Film Dallas.com
