I'm a sucker for these fighting reality shows. I love watching UFC fights. The first week was kinda lame, because there wasn't a fight in the end. The blonde dude (Kenny?) had to lose 21 pounds to make weight in only 2 days. The guy only had 5 pounds to go and quit. I can honestly support his decision, because he was getting delirious. You don't just starve and live in a steam box until you make weight. I didn't see the first season, but caught the final fight (Bonnar vs. Griffin) and it was great. Anyway, check it out on Spike TV. I used to watch UFC all the time but now I can't stop watching K1 fighting in Japan.. that #@$# is hardcore much more action than UFC. Basically its the same but in K1 there is a rule that if you grapple ( hope I spelled that right ) you can only hold your opponent for so long then its high flying fist and kicks. The Ref's are continually breaking up a grapple if they see its not going anywhere. But if it hits you like K1 hands down. Alot of the UFC fighters try and join K1 and some do but its hard to get in because of the grappling rules. You cant hold your opponent into submission for like 10+ minutes only about 2-3. swilkins if you like UFC you ottta check out K1. My friends usually d/l them in bittorrent format and we watch all day
I made a mistake , I got all my fighting show's mixed up its Pride Fighting thats better than UFC not K1. Pride fighting is what I'm talking about.
k-1 is now a shadow of its former self sadly featuring squash matches & worked fights with circus freaks & washed up boxers.
Pride is way better thasn ufc cause they got better quality fighters and better fights. i like the smaller guys cause they fight better than the heavywieghts who just punch and few times then grapple. my fave lightweight is Takanori Gomi. the guy is badass. i guess i like to see guys around my size.
I live in Tokyo and get a chance to watch Gomi a lot, he is one bad mopho... i saw him getting his arse whooped by a Brazilian then with a left right combo, knocked the brazilian into next heaven. then Gomi was so pissed off probably punched the guy 3 times on the way down. Great fight, and the truth is Gomi looks like a pu$$.
I missed an episode and my DVR only records at the alotted time. I missed the end and have managed to avoid who won so please.... No spoilers Can I get a torrent of the 3rd episode somewhere? Thanks and god bless our wonderful city.
used to watch the ufc but after the got rid of the lightweight division i immediately went over to Pride, which is way better. takanori Gomi is definetly one badazz mofo. i think he is gonna win the tournament coming up. him or Kawajiri. i saw the fight between gomi and azaredo(sp?) gomi knocked him da frack out!
