My Sony Ericsson T637 went for a little swim a couple weeks ago and my Cingular insurance is replacing it with a Moto V551. Anybody have one of these? I typically don't like flip phones, but I'm stuck with it either way, so I hope it's a good phone. EDIT: This is what the phone looks like.
I have one and like it, but then I like flip phones and Motorola. Their clamshell design is very comfortable, I prefer it over basically any other phone I've ever used. Motorola also fixed the stress problems the antennas used to have back in their v60 line. I don't think it'll give you any problems.
That's cool. My main complaint is that I liked the Sony because it had a very large screen, and I'm guessing that this little flip phone is going to have a relatively small one.
I don't take photos or videos or play games or anything like that on the phone a lot, so I don't really have any complaints on the screen. It may be a little smaller than your old screen, but I doubt by much. How did your phone end up getting dunked?
I have it. Pretty reliable service...won't blow you away or anything, but it's fine. I never really use any of the other crap besides the phone, texts, phonebook, and the occasional picture. For all of that, works fine. Probably the best service I've had with any phone.
Don't be so outdated. For about $400-500, you could buy a Sony Erricson K750 or W800. Or you could go with the newest Nokia model that's already released in Asia or Europe.(It hasn't release in the US market yet, or it will never be release) You could buy them online.
I had one about 3 months ago, nice phone, good camera, lemme repeaat, GOOD camera. much better than any of those ****ty sony erricson ones (not the new megapixel ones included) good bluetooth capability, alarms are nice, screens nice, tough phone, motorolla support is awesome, 5 mb for pics and vids and sounds. overalll i rate this a 7.8 out of 10...
I like it. I just got mine thru Cingular last month. Camera & vid work well. I like the size of it. It's not too dinky. I've notice the battery holds its charge for awhile. It took me some time for the cell phone battery to die so I could recharge it.
Looks similar to mine. Compared to other phones of about that size, I think it's a little heavy. But other than that, no complaints. I've dropped it enough times to feel pretty confident that it can take a pretty good beating if it has to.
Drinking + slipping phone into boardshorts pocket + swimming = Uh... oh ****... I was actually pretty impressed with the Sony's durability. I was swimming around for probably about 20 minutes before I remembered it was in my pocket, and all it needed was a new battery to work again. Unfortunately, the cones inside were damaged and there was a persistent buzz whenever a call was in session, so I decided to get a new one. Oh, and for $400 bucks that Asian phone better suck me off.
iirc If I Recall Correctly. I had spoken to some tmobile dealers who said august was the date they "hoped" for, but now are being delayed till somewhere before dec.
Hey neone know where they are giving out the motorolla razr for free with a new contract w/ t-mobile.
