i've been using it since it was slashdotted I wonder how this will do in competition with aol, msn and yahoo.
I read this Google Blog every day and there is some interesting stuff on there about Google Talk. There is apparently a work around for people that don't use gmail. Interesting stuff on the horizon.
w00t david2000 here have a bunch of people from work at the moment on my list (that damn mmolinajr talks too much) btw, i use it often, but just through GMail. I occasionally jump on Gtalk at home but not often.
I have Gtalk open at home 24/7 anyway, but it's nice to be able to log on from work and check if I've missed any messages. And I don't talk too much >:|
I have it, have had it since I first heard about it. Microsoft has come out with some kind of new email system too. (hotmail). I got an email about it today asking if I wanted to sign up for it.
I got it a while back, either when I finally got a Gmail account or when Google Talk came out. It seemed cool, but since I don't IM much, I never really ended up using it.
I wouldn't say better. Skype is currently king still. You can conference in skype, not in Googletalk.
