Anyone familiar with Tulane University in New Orleans?

Wired magazine named Tulane one of the most invasive universities in regard to privacy ~ if you use their network (which you will) they can search through anything they choose.

Be careful with the online network. There are so many hackers on there its insane, and their firewall protection is pretty weak.

What graduate degree is he starting? I got my MBA at Tulane but at the Houston executive program. The MBA building there is amazing, and their trading platform and staff are great, as I still talk to many prof's from there.

 

Stadium Place (Aaron Residence) is a furnished apartment complex on the campus of Tulane University. I lived there my senior year and liked it a lot. You should be able to find houses or duplexes for rent in the areas surrounding Tulane. The neighborhoods there can be rough, so remember, you get what you pay for....

I know they had a bunch of players on their basketball team get busted for making bets on games. Or drugs. Or both at once, I can't remember, because I was six.

 

1984-85: Four Tulane starters, including John "Hot Rod" Williams, and one reserve are accused of shaving points in two games. Two of the five players, Clyde Eads and Jon Johnson, are granted immunity and testify that the others also shaved points in exchange for cash and cocaine. Williams was acquitted and none of the players did jail time but the university shut down the program until the 1989-90 season.

I remember Hot Rod was either suspended for his first year in the NBA, or just played overseas, and joined the Cavs the same years as fellow rookies Price/Daughrety/Harper.

I cant help much with appartments but i'll be starting at Tulane in about a week.

I want pictures so i have more of a reason to look forward to when i get there next year.

 

I have a lot of friends who went to Tulane. They all said that it was too dangerous to live around campus, thus most of them commuted 30-45 minutes each day. They lived mostly in Metairie.

 

I hope Tulane can at least survive this mess - such a beautiful campus in such a charming city. I was so looking forward to going back to school. Man this sucks...

 

I went to Tulane from 91-95, back when the drinking age was legally 18. Favorite bars back then:
