and loudmouths rarely have anything useful or constructive to say. Your profile says you have posted 9000 times in 5 years. I've in fact seen many of your posts, most like the one above. Get a life, and stop wasting bandwidth for those who honestly want to exchange opinions about their favorite basketball team.

Tracy doesn't need anyone else to be great. Yao does. He needs someone to pass him the ball. I love Sura's toughness, James can be a great shot in the arm, but neither can/will get Yao the ball where he needs it.

As to what else CD could do, probably nothing, I'm willing to believe that he did as good a job as could be done under the circumstances. However, this is not the same thing as concluding that the current roster makes the rockets the second best team in the west.

My own belief is that the rockets could win a lot a games this year in the regular season. I'd be surprised if they didn't get home court in the first round. However, I can't see them winning more than a series or two unless Yao really has bulked up, as some rumors have suggested. Now that would be interesting.

I share some of your concerns but I think we have passed the Suns because they are clearly worse. If the 7 game series with the Mavs showed we are nearly even with them without a PF, having two legit PFs should make us better than them. I believe the Sonics will be much weaker than last year because of losing AD & McMillan. That leaves the Spurs, who will be very tough unless perhaps both Horry(35) & Bowen(34) hit the wall.

There's nothing wrong with your posts, some good guys were way overzealous. I'm very happy with our current roster but you've hit on a very much minority opinion here that has merit.

NBA analysts and just about everyone I know who's a fan of another team asks about how Yao is utilized. There were issues from the previous two years before last that many here repeat as gospel in terms of what Yao can and can't do now, and what is his fault.

Any discussion here involving how Yao fits here is met with a barrage of "T-Mac's the best player on the team" (duh) and "JVG is an awesome coach" (yeah). T-Mac is the only guy I've seen here that can and does complement Yao.

But I think DA and/or Head really could and so I'm happy to put aside any reservation I have for now. But we need to have a real pg at some point, and I really wish we could get rid of Spanoulis' rookie season this year and then decide what we need to do.
