I know it has been talked about over and over and over again, I just keep seeing it in every site I go to. Is there any chance that the Sprewell to Houston rumors are true. I know a lot of us would hate to cheer for him, but think about this, he would be a great compliment and a huge addition to this team. He can shoot the open shot, run the floor, is aggresive and can play some good Defense. Look at this lineup....it matches up with anybody in the NBA. C- Yao PF- Stromile SM- Tracy PG- DA SG- Sprewell That is a huge, athletic lineup
Another thread on Spree? come on, even if we got him, it's not that big of a deal. I don't really care either way. We're almost good to go. Can't wait for the season to start.
Your probably right but I couldn't find any until the third page and those were polls. Sorry about that but I think it's something that should be discussed no since it is looking lik this could really happen.
I still want spree. I like Wesley, but can't see how this wouldn't be an upgrade. yao/deke howard=swift TMac/Bowen/Anderson Spree/Anderson/Barry Sura/James/Barry With Spree and Anderson, maybe we don't need Mike James anymore.
I wouldn't mind having Spree here, aslong as we find a way to get rid of the guards and add a big man.
You know, I'd rather trade for Darius Miles with our expirings if Portland wanted to dump his contract. Miles is younger, taller, more athletic, and more active at this point in his career compared to Spree.
i'd take him on a tiny 2 year tops contract around the same size or smaller than DA got. he just isn't worth more than 2 mil for 2 years at this point.
Neither is Sura, but we settled for him last year. Anderson is a better overall athlete and has better ball handling skills.
Van Gundy is determined that this season is the one we will make serious noise, he really is going all out with all these moves. It seems like we are adding players just for the hell of it now. You gotta respect the coach though, it's awesome.
Oops, my bad I meant SF (Small Forward), well sorry to open up a thread on this as I said in my post. I normally don't post on here much but when I do, it's because I think it's something important to talk about. To answer some questions, I know DA is not a PG but in his interview he says he can play the 1,2,or 3 on some occasions and he has played the point before. I think he is a significant upgrade. Sprewell in my opinion is also a huge upgrade from David Wesley. The guy can still shoot the ball, plus the lineup is huge and more athletic than having sura, wesley in our backcourt. For $1.5 MILLION he would be a steal.
