    He's on now

He's concerned about the health of the team. 3 of 5 are coming off surgery Wesley, Sura and Howard.

One person short in the front and overloaded in the backcourt. Thinks they'll add one more big. I think that's how it went.

jeff said we are probably looking to add another front court player to play behind yao, deke, stro, Jho.

said we are loaded in the backcourt.

    Lonnie Baxter???

He disagreed with DA's quote, saying competition only makes players fight over playing time. Sounds like somebodies about to get CUT!!! :D

He talked about sky diving and it felt good doing it...however, winning feels better than sky diving

Mentioned about Derek Anderson and how she showed flashes of greatness and hoping D.A. to have the same kind of passion he used to have.

Last year, we "had trouble containing the ball".... keeping the ball and penetration is very important and hoping D.A. to provide that next year

He talked how we struggled with injuries last year and he is concern about the age of our team...and hope that we have the same chemistry as last year's team. He'll play the guys that give us the best chance to win. He's also concern about overcrowding in our roster.

He does not confirm that we're done with the roster. and is looking for another front court player.

    Give props to Phoenix...etc.

Talked a little about Finley and how teams are "fighting" over him

Asked if he has 2nd best team in the west.

He said "Who's first?" LOL :D

He said we have a lot of improvement to make because we obviously didn't make it out of the first round. Very concern about our age and our health. Very proud of the guys in our team...

Man, that was quite a blitz of Rockets interviews on the radio today. JVG was his usual worry-wart self and stressed that his biggest concerns were the team's health and age. (Duh)

I WONDER Who is JVG talking about? (it's human nature to be selfish when you're fighting over minutes etc)

Sounds like Lonny Baxter got very good shot of making the team.

(JVG said adding another front court player because we only have Yao, Deke, Howard and Swift)

*He stressed that Derek Anderson is an excellent passer. This is a trend we're noticing now. I guess after having Francis and Mobley, he's chasing guys with passing ability.

*He said he feels too much competition leads to selfishness but in this case he has to go with it because the team is so old.

Out of curiosity, is the small forward slot considered frontcourt or backcourt?

Granted, if he mentioned the centers and the power forwards specifically, then obviously we're adding to that depth.

I would think we need a backup 3 more than backup 4 or 5.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Bowen and Tmac are pretty big too. Bowen even played PF in the Dallas series. We are no less big bodies than last year. Padgget is an outside shooter and Spoon, oh well.

Small Forward is generally regarded as being in the frontcourt.

I don't think it's much of a priority. We'll just run a 3 guard lineup when Mcgrady sits. Sura and Anderson can play against SFs without giving too much up defensively.
