Daymn they sure wait a long time to release these. Could have sworn T-Mac was wearing the black & red's when he posterized Shawn Bradley.
He was. I just think they're waiting for right before the season starts and Christmas. Basketball shoes aren't the hottest items right now to buy, it's just way too damn hot to buy big bulky shoes.
Hey does anyone have the ov's. I was thinking about getting them with the 30% off coupon since they are on sale.
i heard it from a friend that tmac iv's suck.. he said that the way the "no laces" system worked, it doesnt really lock the shoe securely to your foot, that its hard to play or even walk on them.. i think that's the reason why t-mac mostly played with "team mac's" last season...
I have the ov's and I dont have a problem with them, but I dont play ball in them. They are pretty easy on the feet but I would see a problem trying to play bball in them. I dont have a problem witht the no lace locking system, and I have worn them prettyy much every day since christmas.
I dont think its wood grain as in a wood grain steering wheel. Its hardwood like that of a basketball court. I think it also stretches the sole of the shoe. As for the IVs, I know a lot of people were dissapointed with them. It was even rumored that T-Mac was as well. I would recommend either of the Team Mac Is or IIs though. T-mac wore them himeself just before he broke out the Vs for the playoffs.
Well, surely it represents the hardwood. Doesn't make it any less garish, though. I'm not into "kicks" though, so maybe some of you are cool with pimping out your feet 70's living room style.
The T-Mac V's are tight. I bought 'em soon after they came out and wear them a lot. I'm surprised to see he's coming out with another shoe already.
My brother's personal trainer trains TMac occasionally and he said that TMac didn't really like to wear the IVs. TMac gave a pair to the trainer and he didn't like them as well. It probably has something to do w/ the weight of the shoe and the tightness. My brother's trainer also told my brother that TMac wasn't comfortable playing in the TC last season, which was later confirmed by TMac in an interview somewhere else, but he did say he is comfortable now, which is good.
Very interesting interview, I'd type it up but it's way too long, sorry guys. I'll type some interesting quotes though: "What really stands out is the strap that goes across the front. I call it my safety belt. The motion I have on the court, at times when I take off and dunk on guys, I need that safety coming down." Kicks: "Tracy said you guys already did his All-Star colorway." Pulli (designer): "Yeah, I think we're doing a grey/red color for All-Star." It also reports that this shoe incorporates an Asian Warrior Theme. He looked at old samurai and ninja footwear, that's why the strap comes under and there's the strap and support feel.
For some odd reason, reading this makes me realise that we actally have Tmac on OUR team, the Rockets. Tmac is on the Rockets.. i still can't believe it These new shoes are interesting and I did notice last year when he lands from dunks he looks rather gingerly and careful about landing, like as to not twist an ankle. Hopefully this new shoe will give him more confidence to take it strong to the hole without fear of a flaw in the shoe design twisting his ankle on landing.
