DA on Board. Report coming up by Berman. More as it becomes available. "DA will sign with Houston by next week. CD is on vacation. DA loves that he has to earn his playing time." according to Tony Dutt who is DA's Lawyer. "He was offered a lot more money elsewhere. It is not about the money but about the fit."
This team is really coming together. I don't think we will have any problems with chemistry, especially with all that DA said about Sura. Very exciting!
Forgive me for asking, but what did he say? I may have missed that... I am going to have to start a new season with the Rockets on my NBALIVE, I need to add Anderson to the roster.
at least when it comes to sports they are...their news coverage and their anchors/reporters are pathetic. Started off Sports Xtra with Astros talk...probably Texans next...then they will get to the Rockets
March 31, 2005, By JONATHAN FEIGEN Copyright 2005 Houston Chronicle Rockets Summary High praise for Sura Trail Blazers guard Derek Anderson offered the Rockets' Bob Sura about the highest praise a player can give a former teammate. "I love playing with that guy," Anderson said. "I've played with some great players, but my top five, he's on it. I don't care how many superstars you've played with. He's on my top five. "It's like playing with Shaq (O'Neal). Would you want to play with him? Heck, yeah. Would you want to play with Bob Sura? Heck, yeah. He's one of the top people." Anderson, who played with Sura in Cleveland from 1997 to 1999, would not share the rest of his top five. -- JONATHAN FEIGEN
Tony Dutt informs Berman that they have come to a decision and WILL join the Rockets this week...didnt say exactly when
Rockets bring in Swift and now second cog added to Machine... DA's agent says Derek is signing with Houston sometime this week. CD is on vacation but DA says he's excited about the situation here and hopes to win a championship. Last weeks meeting with JVG was a pivotal meeting. Rockets offering 1.67 Mil. DA was offered more $ elsewhere but they were looking for what would be best fit... which was Houston!
Oh yes, I was obviously refering to their sports segment, since I don't even watch local news, but do watch that 5-minute sports segment for Marc Berman every weekday, and the only half-hour Sunday sports show I even bother to watch is Fox's. The only thing that bothers me about them is the fact that Sports Xtra comes on half an hour later now, which I find annoying.
