    Sure, why not.

Let me go on record, and say that I don't like Spree. I have always respected his ability as a basketball player, but I am not a big fan of the other parts of his character. However, the Carlisimo thing was over a decade ago, and aside from saying the occasional stupid thing to the media (most nba players do), he hasn't been a problem. Also, he has a real fire for the game, and I like that toughness and edgeyness.

He's not the same player he used to be, not by a long shot, but he would add valuable, versitile depth at a good price if he signed for the 1.5 mil.

Quite frankly, I'd be happy with Anderson, Spree, or Finley at that price. All are very versitile players that can help us win.

Not that I'm a big Spree fan, but how does adding a guy who would be, at worst, the 5th most athletic player on our team make us less athletic?

Also, if we can't get DA or Fin, then Spree would be a bargain at 1.5 mil, assuming he doesn't complain about PT and plays like he is able to.

He said he can not live with 10M per year, 1.7M $ from Rockets really is a shame of him ,,,

Sorry, but you're a fool. Either that, or you're dishonest in argument. One or the other.

Most people haven't choked anybody in their lives. Or if they have, it's been a bar room brawl. Or a punch. Choking is...despicable.

Also, the remarks about "feeding his family..." were utterly preposterous. Normal people just don't say things like that.

Hell: normal basketball players - people who, for the most part, are smack dab in the middle of the spotlight...don't say such things.

You can't excuse Sprewell by attributing his misadventures as "casual errors" because most people don't make such casual errors. By definitions, things that most people don't do...are not the everyday mistakes that should be forgiven.

Your argument holds absolutely no substance. But if you'd like to mouth off again with ad hominems...feel free.

At the LLE i'd take Spree if we can't get anderson, i think at this point anderson is better, but spree would still provide alot of bang for 1.7 million. A Spree Sura backcourt would be chaulk full of toughness and hard fouls. they'd really beat up on some guards.

I think Jack Hammer is trying to say is that he who is without sin cast the first stone.

Your attitude comes off as being one that you are all high and mighty like you've never made a bad choice in life. I'm sure you've done something that you're not proud of. I think Jack Hammer is trying to say, walk a mile in his shoes or something to that nature and stop being judgemental.

You don't know the whole story, nobody does. Latrell's bad action might have had a good ending too. PJ was not the good guy in this situation. Life doesn't have good guys and bad guys, only complicated situations. PJ is no longer a head coach because his methods were not working. Maybe Sprewell did what the rest of the team wanted to do.

Now, I'm not saying that my maybes are all correct or something, but the maybes are a different way to look at the same situation.

As far as his actions being forgiven? He wasn't forgiven, he was punished. The punishment is over and he is been allowed to go on with life. So why are you still punishing him?

It is possible that JVG will have another major "brain fart" and sign Sprewell. He signed Oakley, Strickland, Ward, and Spoon, all broken down over the hill ole Knicks. And I still want to know why Ewing is here. If he does, it will be the most major mistake he has made so far. Spreewell is a thug, he could possibly destroy the chemistry of this team. Besides, his better days are long past. This is a no-brainer.

Sprewell doesn't give us anything that we don't already have.

I think a lot of people here just want him because he's Latrell Sprewell, a former all star who used to be a very good player. I'm not sure everybody quite understands how much he's declined the last few years. His skills and athleticism have eroded considerably.

We don't need him. Even if he had a great attitude and wasn't as arrogant and self-absorbed, I still wouldn't want him. His game just does not impress me anymore.
