Anyone use this service yet? Sounds awesome: http://www.orb.com/

As long as youi have XP and broadband, stream TV, photos, video and audio.

(another thing to kill worker productivity? :) )

As long as you use XP on the source PC and have a compatible TV capture card...

    Here's CNet's take: http://reviews.cnet.com/Orb/4505-9239_7-31338425.html?tag=txt

I am unable to access video or audio. I have ORB set up on my desktop. I attempt to access the files via my laptop on the same network. I am able to see still photos. I have disabled my firewall and seemingly configured my ports correctly. Any ideas? My only other thought is that my cable modem compnay is blocking access to the necessary ports.

    bobrek,

Did you try their support board? http://forums.orb.com/community/viewforum.php?f=5&sid=5a9f5cc61755c59054b20d952416f7a9

Here's some of the related FAQs:
How do I install Orb behind a firewall?
To install Orb behind a firewall, you need to have outgoing TCP port 80 and port 554 open. If you are attempting to connect to Orb from behind a firewall, the first time Orb is launched you may receive one or more Security Alerts notifying you that an Orb application is attempting to access the Internet. For Orb to run properly on your computer, you must select to "Unblock" each Orb application for which a security alert is issued. You normally should not have to change your firewall settings.

How do I install Orb with UPnP?
UPnP uses incoming TCP port 80 and UDP port 13398. This means that if you are already hosting a Web browser at home, it might cause conflicts and it is recommended that you disable UPnP. For all other cases, it is recommended to activate it.

How do I stream Orb from a remote device?
Different ports are used to stream Orb media, depending on the media type:

For Windows Media: Orb uses TCP Port 80
For Real Media: Orb uses TCP Port 554 and UDP Port 13398

Yep, I did all of that. In addition I disabled my firewall just to see if that was a problem. I also am mainly trying just to see if I can listen to MP3s to make sure any video codecs are not the problem. All to no avail. I AM able to sit at the computer that ORB is installed on and run things but that sort of defeats the purpose :) .
