well, Mathis was hurt in practice, something to the sort of a minor pulled groin injury, and I personally was hoping to see him but he won't play much if at all.
INJURY UPDATE: The following Texans will not play against Denver: SS Glenn Earl, WR Jabar Gaffney, TE Billy Miller, LB Zeke Moreno, S Jon Pendergrass, LB DaShon Polk, DT Daleroy Stewart, WR Sloan Thomas and C/G Todd Washington. WR Jerome Mathis (groin) is questionable. Jason Simmons will start at strong safety; Victor Riley will start at left tackle. http://www.houstontexans.com/gameday/games/game_p1.php
I'm just anxious to see the Texans on the field again. I want to see how Vernand Morency performs, I saw a lot of Oklahoma State games last year and I was impressed with his ability. Hopefully the Texans can pull off a win, I dont care if it is preseason.
WELCOME TO THE GREATEST CITY OF AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALL! Houston Texas....are you ready for some footbaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall?
w00t! I am currently in Houston, and I'll definitely be at Reliant tonight. This will be the first NFL game I've been to since the Super Bowl last year. I am so pumped! Thank God for football season.
I wanna see Mathis is see how fast he is. I also want to see Vernond Morency who I think we stole in the 3rd round.
Damn, Zach Wiegert got injured. The injury looked pretty bad. Hopefully nothing serious because we have no depth on the O-Line.
Damn, 1st down and the 1 and they can't score on 4 plays. Thats bad. Robaire Smith looks horrible at fullback.
Looks like Ragone is having problems adjusting to the NFL from NFL Europe where he was the MVP. On the other hand i love Morency, he is just like a Davis clone..definently should get the second RB Spot.
I still don't understand why they made zero effort to improve their offense in the offseason. It had obvious holes, and nothing was done save to add yet another backup RB. I foresee more of the same for the Vanillas.
Even if they upgraded the personnel on offense, it wouldn't matter. With Capers, we will never do anything on offense.
I don't know how you watched that game on Saturday and were able to draw any conclusions about the starters on offense.
I viewed those 4 plays that the starting drive had and Lynch was not even accounted for. I thought Smith did good on a few of them, but there was no TE on the outside blitz. I think it was 2nd and 4th down. You'd think after 2nd down, if Palmer was going to attempt the same gap, he would pull a guard or change the TE's assignment. Oh well. Such as the pre-season.
