And I'm guessing since it's Dr. Phil, it's the daughter's fault entirely...

Dr. Phil ought to be talking to Mattress Mac about his obsessive prostitute disorder. I've heard, through a friend/source at HPD, that old Mac is apparently well known in the Houston "underground" for hiring hookers and then getting a little rough with them (i.e. beating the crap out of them). Money does strange things to hillbillies.

Hey I don’t know about rumors, but he offered to pay JVGs fine.. Even if it was to get his stores name out there, it's cool with me..

I met Mac at gallery furnature a while back and thanked him for what he's done for our city.

He kind of gave a whatever response, so I took my biznuz elsewhere.

It's a circus in that place anyway.

Before he became a supporter of UNT, he supported UT (member of the 1970 MNC squad) till he realized he didn't have enough money to join the good old boys roundtable...Jamail, Hicks, etc.

Sorry to get off topic but, doesn't anybody know of places to get decent furniture at good prices? I'm having a home built and need all kinds of stuff to furnish it.

HEHEHE...well, lets be honest, Mac couldn't hack it in the furniture business in Big D...Buying Discount furniture in the town that JR built??

You're right, he didn't come out with his UNT alumnus dollars/support untill we started whoppin' everyone's azzez in our admittedly small D-1 conference--The Sunbelt. Which, while not the Big 12, we do have the longest running Conference win streak in NCAA college football in the country.

Now, Dr Phil is an alumnus of UNT as well--but we'll stick to claiming Meatloaf and Roy Orbison...lol

Try the Roomstore. There is one in the Fountains shopping center in Stafford.

I've bought a sofa set and a futon from them and have been pleased.

If you live around Sugar Land or Katy, Plantation Furniture is nice as well. Though it's a small place so they dont have a ton of different stuff. From what I saw their proces are pretty good. Here is their address: 1247 FM 359, Richmond, TX 77469
