hahah. whatever you guys opinions, i do agree with tinman that I'm glad we got someone who wants to be on our team, like swift. I'm also glad we don't have sucky management that would make a player like SAR get pissed off at us.

swift has more POTENTIAL than SAR....but production wise SAR is 20-10 night kinda guy....not many in the NBA who can pull that off....

Swift might be a huge bust.....SAR is a proven commodity.

SAR is proven to score lots of points on bad teams.

Swift isn't going to be a bust. That's a TINMAN guarantee!

This could be best frontline since OTIS, DREAM, HORRY.

    SWIFT, YAO, TMAC!!

Please don't make a comment if you don't know what you are talking about. Yes SAR isn't exactly a franchise type of player, however you have to keep in mind that he did average 20 points and 8 boards a game throughout his career (which in my opinion means that he is a better player than maybe 80-85% of the rest of the NBA players out there) while hardly missing any game throughout his professional career. He has been a model citizen whenever he lived, and he is definitely one of the classiest players in this league. When the Grizzlies moved out of Vancouver, he personally spent tens of thousands of dollars putting up ads in the local papers to thank the basketball fans and the city of Vancouver for their support throughout the years. Not many other NBA players would do something like that....

oh that makes it cool for him to diss New Jersey, complain about playing in Portland and the fact he has nice stats on crap teams.

So he knows the lyrics to "HEAL THE WORLD" by Michael Jackson, so what??

He is dissing New Jersey because he turned down the offer from Bucks, which would pay him 10+ million more (maybe more money than anyone of us here would earn in our lifetime). Now New Jersey isn't showing any commitments at all and the other teams that needed a PF have already gone out and signed with the other free agents. So of course he is pissed, who wouldn't be?

Second of all, he complained about his playing time in Portland, just like any other NBA player (or normal person) would do. He was still in his prime, and has averaged over 20 points per game throughout his professional career, has been a proven star player (not an all-star, but definitely a star player), and now you are telling him to play behind a bunch of scrubs? give me a break...

Seriously dude, what's your problem with him? looks you are trying to critize this player everytime you get a chance to (without any reasonable ground), I am joking here but is he sleeping with you wife or something? is that why you hate him so much? I really think there are better things to do in life than just sit in front of your computer all day long and try to convince everybody that SAR is an overpaid scrub....

Amen to that. It'll be a terrible day if Dallas can get their hands on him.

I'm surprised Jackson would be let go of that easily, especially to benefit a division rival. Is PHI trying to save money?

Marc Jackson doesn't have a good reputation as a defender, and Rahim is a million times the player that Marc Jackson is.

Oh my goodness. What a turn of events. Oh my goodness. Wow. Here's betting that Jason Kidd is going through the roof right now.

Yeah, Philly was probably more than happy to dump Jackson (not in their plans anymore) and his salary for the TE. Their payroll is well into lux tax land, and if they waive someone else with the amnesty rule, it brings their lux tax hit down a bunch.

SAR just got screwed over bad. Very few teams with the MLE still available are contenders with a need for a PF, and Portland's S&T leverage is just about squat. Even the bottom payroll teams with cap space (who could send a TE and a pick for him - Portland's preferred deal in a S&T) don't really have a need for him:
    Charlotte w/Okafur
Atl which has been there, done that with him
    NOH?
Bucks are out of cap space, especially once Redd's deal is finalized.

    Wow wow wowwy wow.

    Evan
