To vote for my band, orange is in, in the Ultimate Houston Survey from the Chronicle. There are others on here who deserve votes as well - ima_drummer's cover band (Infinite Groove), Stack's Live Sports Cafe. So, get on there and vote, vote, vote. Note that you don't have to vote on EVERYTHING. You can vote only for the things you want to vote for and hit submit. You can do this, apparently, once a day or maybe when you quit out of your browser or something. I haven't really played with it. I've just voted off and on over the last month. Anyways, thanks!!!
Yeah, exactly why I said to only vote on the stuff you want to and leave the rest. You don't have to vote on all of it for it to work.
I think it is in the best interest of the ClutchBBS to vote for Rudyard's in every category for which it is nominated. Of course, this is an objective view and has nothing whatsoever to do with any personal bias I may have towards the excellent NEIGHBORHOOD BAR and LIVE MUSIC VENUE that is Rudyard's. Ahem.
Neither could I. Stack, wanna help us out so we can help you out? Did that too. The only place in town (that I know of) that gives drink coupons to the band. For that, they get my vote! Good soundman there, too.
Do you work there? I frequent the place about once or twice a month. I've heard Joe is good, but he's awfully anal about the lights.
He certainly is weird about the lights, but what's your experience? He's anal as well with the sound. That's what makes it good, I think. I generally work the door - whether it be at the front checking people's ID, or at the register taking their money before they go upstairs. Jeff and subtomic show up semi-regularly as well.
Most certainly agreed. Where else can you find Nitzche-reading doormen? Last day. Thanks, guys (and ladies)!!!
I'm glad he's so concerned about the sound. The lights, well, not so much. I don't care whether a given light is a half-inch one way or a half-inch another way. I'm not knocking it though - I'm really more amused by it. I do like Rudyard's a lot and I've seen a number of good shows there.
