Hey. I'm going bowling with some buddies tonight and I was wondering if you guys knew of any cool places to eat at 3 AM around the 59/Hilcroft area. Thanks.
You'll have to drive into town a little but I enjoy eating at JaliScienca (pronounced Jolly Science when drunk @ 3am) over on Montrose just north of Westheimer/Elgin. Good Mexican food...
You mean La Jaliscience? Not that I probably spelled it right either. I knew people who used to just call it "Burrito Hell". (It is good.)
Dude if you want asian hit up 59@bellaire. Tan Tan on bellaire and Ranchester or Sinh Sinh. I love me some Denny's, IHOP or even mama's late night but you can't beat asian food in the middle of the night. Weekends they are usually open until 4am. Doors close at 3am but as long as you get in there beforehand. Pretty crowded at nights even late especially on weekends.
If you can get there right before 3am then you'll be cool. I figure the bowling alley closes at 2am. They should be able to get there in time. A lot of times they will open later because they're really busy.
I am Chinese and aware of how awesome Tan Tan is. There should be a place like that in Sugar Land btw. Anyways, we didn't even get to go out to eat cause you're right, it did close at two. FYI: I bowled a 235 tonight. 6 straight strikes and my friend jynxes me. I hit 9/ on the next frame. Also, we bowled a total of 75 games. My shoulder hurts.
Lol I just realized I mentioned I am Chinese in my last post. I meant to include most of my friends are white and not too into chinese food but I omitted that part and left the first. I am not a bigot.
Mai's on Milam stays open pretty late, not sure how late, I've never eaten there past 10 o'clock, but I know they stay open real late. Spanish Flower in the back end of the Heights is a 24 hour joint. I also recommend Biba's on West Gray as previously mentioned.
Mai's on weekends usually stays open until 3pm also. They catch a lot of the bar hopping clubbing crowd from downtown, but he said asian is out cuz his white friends don't like it. They don't know what they are missing!! Tan Tan beats anything IHOP or Denny's can offer
